Hello James, thanks for the explanation.

Golden Light -  A name, well that's something to start with already, I have been given a word, but before I talk about that one, once I had a very interesting dream where I found myself walking around a rustic village by a river at night, and a person was telling me that during my life I should identify certain human things that went wrong, and then I would be sent back to Ancient Egypt to share this information in order to start a flawless civilization.

Never had another similar dream to confirm that.

Now the word, I saw it during a normal AP, flew out the window and ended up on a street where there was a sign, when I read it I saw the word Predoque. There were 2 other words that I couldn't make out. I'm sure the first one was Predoque, because I stared carefully for 3 times and it didn't change. When I woke up I wrote it down, thought it was a name, even though I had never heard such a name.

Searching on the internet there was only one result, a database of medieval books, more specifically I was directed to a text from a book published in 1390, called Confessio Amantis, by an English writer, John Gower.

excerpt:
Sic lupus est pastor, pater hostis mors miserator,
Predoque largitor, pax et in orbe timor.

Reading that excerpt where the word from my projection appeared I felt like that text was familiar, but 'largitor' was not the other word on the astral sign.

Today I have no doubts that I was meant to find that medieval text for some reason, or maybe find about Gower, it has crossed my mind that I might have been him, but if that's the case then I was much wiser in my past life than I am now. By the way, I liked what I've read so far from his books, the moral values he talks about are pretty much the ones I already stick to.
Where does this silence come from?

Andrew:

Is Predoque a name? It seemed to be in Latin? Don't know Latin myself.  Did you have a translation for that excerpt? Just curious. That is a very interesting dream/OOBE. I'm so envious of those that can and do have these consciously.

My world is a bit too chaotic to have the peace and quiet I think is necessary to accomplish OOBEs consciously. Kids waking at night, hubby snoring and bouncing the bed - I'm surrounded by my family all day long.   So - I don't ever have ANY time where I'm alone to practice any of these techniques. As I'd like to try to find out some of this stuff.

Find a way to investigate these dreams and "memories" of mine.

When I first went under hypnosis and the images became clear in my mind (they were hard to hold on to though), I saw my barefeet in sand. that's the first thing I recall. The two that intrigue me the most - of my three memories, are the biblical one (as I've been fascinated with Biblical times for a very long time - prior to this incident) and the one of going over a cliff.

The one with th emost detail was the woman who married (I saw the wedding) and then drove with hubby over a cliff. The scenery was clear. The road was clear. The car was clear. And the result was very clear. That life was very unfinished.  I think that was Anna.  Got to get my notes.

So Andrew - do you mean you  might have been "Gower" and not the person he spoke of in the text?

A few years ago after having a very vivid experience as a Roman Soldier, I kept questioning if I really was a soldier.  Some time later I got an answer and it was yes, but in the end I've found I don't care if I'm making it up or not, it's changed my life and has made me who I am today and for that I'm thankful:)

My thoughts exactly.

Although I wasn't a Roman soldier, I was a leader of a group of soldiers.  No idea of the terminology - sergeant, colonel etc (I get them all confused).  I died from dehydration at the top of a tree in an extremely hot country (desert).  My last dying thought was how I'd let my men down.  Too vivid to dismiss.

I suspect I've also been drowned as a witch - I used to have regular dreams of drowning.

And I've an irrational fear of fire, so that's probably another life-ending scenario.

Sarah
We all find nonsenses to believe in; it's part of being alive.

Nay

Yes!  I've had more than one very vivid experience that leads me to believe I've had more than one life.

When I was young we lived in New Mexico at the base of the Sandia Mountains.  Our father would take us to the mountains and use us as heard animals...lol.  We would chase the deer towards him.  Anyhoo.. he stopped taking me and his reasoning was that he kept having this recurring dream of me falling off the mountain and leaving him with a handful of my hair.

I didn't understand it meaning that much to him then but I do now.   I was never afraid of heights up until around the age 24yr.  Some believe that when you start having a phobia, that is around the age you were when the actual event happened.  So.... I think my dad was remembering an event that happened in a past-life we shared together.

Cool huh?  :)

Golden Light

That is cool TalaNay!

I can't think of any vivid dreams I might associate with reincarnation - just the regression. Perhaps once I start delving into my astral experimentation I'll come across something unusual like that.

It's not a name, it's latin for brigand, robber. The translation is:

Sic lupus est pastor, pater hostis mors miserator,
Predoque largitor, pax et in orbe timor.

Thus the wolf is the shepherd, the father the enemy, death the commiserator,
the brigand the benefactor, and the peace on earth is fear.

The experience itself was pretty short, the only thing I did was read the sign and stop a cow from running over me. I didn't get to experience any events related to past lives that I was aware of.

I really don't know, Golden Light, to say that I was Gower is a very serious statement, it's what I'm trying to figure out - why I saw that word, and what I have to do with that text.
Where does this silence come from?

What!? A http://cow almost ran over you?   :-D

Yes, it's a big claim and as the scientists say: Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.   :-)

But the fact that it occurrs and is verifiable (at least by James) proves the point- it may not happen a lot, but it does happen.
If you build up Karma with someone in particular and carry it to the next lifetime, it makes sense for them to be part of your earthly family on the next, on and on until the karma is cleared up.  So it makes sense that the cases will tend to reocurr in the same family.  But that doesn't make it a rule- it makes it a trend.

I find the idea of Karma and reincarnation related but one idea. Though I believe in each, I think they have become something they are not to us. One of the greatest losses to the world was the (attempted) destruction of so much (worldly) material purged from the world for our own protection. So much has to be relearned that won't go away which I believe happens with truth. I think we are all again learning and so this is merely what I see. or at least some things to consider that may help some.

Karma is a whole (collective) or fixes to individual action? By collective I mean we all come to know as true. The truth is, without Karma, we simply have to recognize our actions toward one another. This is first and foremost important. To me this is what Karma is not though, something that can broken down. Karma has no value of good or bad only what we attach to it. We often say we go beyond the word, but we actually give limit to it. This is how we hide truth right under our nose. I know most will disagree with me, but Karma is knowledge we work toward under the name we gave it.

Even if I'm wrong, using the idea of Karma implies to 1) being able to influence or make, 2) that we do, 3) that we even know "good" when all the event haven't played out, and so on. To go back to clear up personal past issue presents a real problem to me simply because we are trying to use Karma as a tool which it is not. Karma was never meant to become so personal as to become one thing which can be use to do good (or evil).

How I see the world and how the Creator see it are not the same, and what I see important I'm sure the Creator doesn't, to include the things I rail against. I for example would have made a better world. Many times I do think we apply the use of the word Karma here when relating it the Creator's plan as a way of saying I just don't understand, but this is just my own thought.

But getting back to Karma itself. Karma applies across everything and is simply, even if we object, part of the Divine makeup. I doubt any person of this planet could come back to fix one problem without making another the same day. Then do we come back to fix that one and on and on. Maybe we can call this a recurring problem scenario this is something that's suppose to keep us occupied during our time here that we have to fix many problems, but not one problem. I "think" I know what you mean and correct me if I'm wrong, but you really mean we "fix" ourselves. (Notice I don't say you or me but do mean us) This is the intent of Karma its outcome. I think one has to put and always keep Karma, and all other words we use, in perspective to the path. This applies to other ideas we believe in such as reincarnation and so on.

Karma is really much much bigger and much much simpler. But in a way we don't want to share it or any of the other things of the universe, spiritual or physical. It is just some vague idea at this part of our evolution, spiritual and physical. Karma to me is really more whole (collective) and not anything individual and above all I cannot judge Karma. Again it has nothing to do with the qualities of good or bad. It's right up there with our perception of GOD, it is just a word to most of us. Again I probably haven't even come close explaining Karma and what it is to me, only things I lookout for that tell me it's there before me.

Though I do enjoy reflecting and learning about this stuff, at this point of my solitary quest I muse, the genius of the universe seems to be it's apparent limits which keep us occupied with questions.

dotster

Pardon me for going back to some of the first page or so of posts, but I felt as if I must give some sort of input.

  • rule
  • evidence
  • proof
  • fact
  • law
  • time

I have noticed that these are some of most frequently used words in this topic. It is words like these that keep the human mind "closed" as some call it. It is words like these that I wish had never been invented. I am not saying that curiosity is wrong, because I do not think that what-so-ever. I am merely saying that we all come at a situation with a different approach, and we all walk away with a different experience, or feeling, whatever you may call it. Evidence to one person, might appear to be complete rubbish to another person. A law in one country surely does not exist in EVERY country. I was hoping that we might have realized that we make our own rules, in each and every aspect of life (and death), however I do see that there are people that have realized this. I can't think of a word in the English language that's meaning encompasses all aspects of being (meaning all past "lives", and the time in between these lives). There are just some things that are difficult to express in written word, as I am sure most everyone knows. Although I do find it quite interesting that some of the more ancient languages like Sanskrit have words that actually convey these sorts of concepts. I, however, am not familiar with them. Excuse me for the momentary stray from topic. I just wish we would stop trying to restrict ourselves by making all of these laws, and rules, restrictions. Everything has meaning, but does that mean anything?

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. Perhaps some day you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

Language of the past does not suit us any longer. Imagine if they had to worry about Political Correctness (PC).

I agree with what you've said but I'm not sure who the "we" you mean when you said I wish we would.. Is it the we (followers) or the we who tell us the rules. Simply most believe as programed from childhood and I have to blame the ones who tell us the rules. But again, don't you think the key here is "patience" and "learning" and that is the advice. Self awakening.

Not everyone wants to be awakened and chooses the rules he or she wants because it's safe and easy. We are creatures that (at) first seek safety and comfort choosing the easy way.  There is only one Path for all, I think we are the metaphor for the paths. We can only learn so much here and we are physical creatures. Though I too am concerned with other souls, my advice, don't get hung up with them. They move at their own speed and should not be judged. Our desires should not be their's and theirs ours. Allow everyone to live according to their own understanding (and grow).

dotster

I meant we as a whole. It is not just a certain group of people that make rules, we all make them. I was going for the meaning of we as in encompassing all human-beings.

Also, I believe that perhaps at the time of my post I was just wearied to find people being close-minded and restricting, and therefore acted without entirely thinking things through. I do agree 100 percent that each person needs to live and grow according to what they believe and how they believe. I was just at the time, hoping to shed new light. Broaden horizons, you might call it.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. Perhaps some day you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

The idea reincarnation is tied (exclusive) to blood lines and that proof exists simply isn't true. There are just simply too many cases showing it happens outside blood lines. These cases you don't include ignoring this dismissing the reality of what can be seen, so I'm really not sure what your true point is. Expand why you feel  the reason for this is.

Remember the majority of the world dismisses the belief of reincarnation anyway and say it isn't real, therefore are they right. No, the reason you and your cousin have your particular experience is obvious if you think about it. Keep in mind the special abilities you have are (indeed) passed through blood lines (genes), and certainly include training the mind and this is what you see and are experiencing, and this has probably has been nurtured and practiced in your family linage (unknown to you). You (and others) have tapped the latent ability each of us has potential for but the majority will never use. To them it does not exist. You believe (the teaching) what your parents believe and so you can see and actively manifest this recognition because your mind is receptive and willing to open to such things, and how it works, to include abilities we are evolving toward anyway as beings, mentally and physically, and most important, you practice using your ability, the actual doing. It is actually becoming easier for us. In truth we are actually nothing but points in time. (Expand to see your future self) Also recognize that once a soul you would recognize other souls once you return and you see the sameness (much as a vague but knowing awareness). But if you cannot admit and you cannot see the sameness (recognition) in others, seeing only the shell, seeing, practicing or (wanting this) isolation, then this may be the lesson you have to learn this time around and even teach your own parents. You are a new being with a new mind that is to suppose to learn and pass on to your own future.

I would not be concerned trying to prove anything by using other cultures or examples, they have no bearing on you. The are not you. Many of the belief of reincarnation are open enough to include the idea of including blood lines and so we can accept your idea of it. The danger is though we can accept your view (because it is indeed true in part), you can't accept ours because some barrier exists in perspective.

smiles....this is much how religion works, my GOD can accept yours but yours can't accept mine....

Rattleglans

I think we are not all connected, but all have the ability to be connected to one another if everyone was aware.

EDIT: sorry for the MAJOR gravedig. Saw a link to this topic and didn't realize the big difference.

rainwatch

All of these listed are a very spacific topic in and of themselves but because you have posted them all together, here's at least what I have to say about them all.

None of these idea's have been proven...yet

Not to say at all the they aren't true, I follow a simply truth, what you beleive to true...for you and only you. You have the idea and with your idea you can blossom it into whatever you truely beleive with only your heart to guid you.

Religion for example is based truely on faith, and so it reirncarnation, past lives, and your own spiritual evolution. It is soley up to you to decide what is true or not based on you life experiences, heart, and mind or self.

One should never let another decide who is right, for in the end we all may be right anyway. There is a story that I've heard which illistrates this:

A man dies and is sent up to heaven, when he gets there he is greeted by the God he believed in and they begin to take a walk, as they walk his God asks him which beleifs he follows and would like to choose in heaven. As they walk down a hall of doors, God would open each one and show him the beleifs of that spacific door, letting him choose which one he wished to belong to.

This is a lot like life is to me at least, no matter how you view things, if you believe it's true, it will be to you.

zareste

You decide what proof is, so saying 'there's no proof' is a pseudo-objective way of saying "that defies my beliefs"

kurtykurt42

Don't kid yourself, I'm working on a mathematical proof for this...
