Close your mouth and breath through your nose.

Actually I do breath through my nose both in and out.I never could grasp the concept of through the nose out the mouth.

Must have been a dog in my last life.

Peace,Andy

I cant help you then, I dont understand why saliva should be trickling out ya mouth if you're breathing through ya nose andyour mouths closed.

I suppose I was a bit vauge on my original post. When I mention salavating im refering to build up that leads to constant swallowing which for now as has been in the past, distracts me.
Lovely subject e'h

At any rate I was curious as to weather this is normal and if not was there a way to prevent it?

Hello Andy,

I know this problem all too well.    Some nights are better than others.  I've tried not drinking a few hours before bed. But sometimes your mouth gets too dry.    Or keeping your mouth open and breathing through it.    Best thing that consistantly works is sitting up in a chair, but who wants to do that?   There's really no great fix for this, best thing for me is keeping the tongue against the roof of mouth, that keeps most of the saliva from trickling back to your throat, and when you feel you need to swallow, Don't, and the feeling will go away for a few minutes or more.

Hey, it's all good...   Everyone's got their own little kinks!

                 Nightflier...

I have had seriously large amounts of annoyance from this problem, which only makes it worst, because the more you try and stop it, the worst it gets. It is obviously all in the mind, so the only solution is to stop caring about it....harsh world eh? Either that or do projection attempts breathing through your nose with a lump of bread in you mouth!
Oh and having tastes lingering in the mouth doesn't help eg toothpaste.

As some people sweat more than others im sure others salivate more to.I have lost many an opportunity to project due to a dam trickle of saliva and was wondering if anyone here knew of a secrect I could put into practice to help me avoid this problem which also plauges me in my meditation.Or is this quite normal?
I drink lots of fluids through out the day and 1-3 cups of caffine free tea in the evenings.I feel the need to drink a lot and do fairly heavy cardio workouts in the morning.Could this be a cause?

Thanks,Andy
