Hi Kode, I really don't think your guides would choose to do bad things to you.  The main Guide is only your higher self anyway, so do you think you would do bad things to you?

Summoning Guides probably won't work, as they are near you anyway and it is up to us to make the connection with them.  There really is nothing to be afraid of, despite what the majority of people think about that. Have no fear and little can go wrong.

What you perceive as bad may not really be bad. The mother bird pushing her baby birds out of the nest seems to be a cruel act when in reality she is doing it for the baby birds benefit. Otherwise it may never learn to fly if not forced to do so.

Thank you for your replies. [] When I said summoning my guides, I meant trying to get in contact with them. I came across a tutorial on another site on how to get in contact with them, so I think I will use that when the time is right for me to do it.

I would just like to let you know that there are entities out there that pretend to be guides.  The best way I have found to tell if you have actually met one of your real guides is to ask them to leave for the time being until you contact them again.  If they say no or seem reluctant to leave it is a good chance it is not one of your guides because your guides will respect your will and freedom of choice they will gladly stand aside until you ask to meet them again.

Links Shadow, excellent suggestion there and it makes a lot of sense to test them. I discovered that we can feel other being's intentions, as each has a unique feel to them.  This is how I was able to tell the difference between those who come to help and those who come for their own purposes. We feel it in our 'gut' area, and when we are journeying, whether Astrally or at a Soul level, it is a good idea to notice what we feel there.  It is the simplest way to know the difference.
