well, i don't know...humm but... just my opinion there:
why do you think there is "Negs" responsibles of our bad actions, lazyness, alcoolic behaviours etc ? I mean, isn't it a way to deny our responsabilities ? Aren't we the only responsibles of our acts ?

On a side note a remember that in Bretonny (west of France) they used to say in the past time that there was a specific demon (i forgot his name) whose work was to make you sleep during the office...but as i can remember, when i was christian, if i wanted to sleep during the office...it was because it was REALLY boring [:D]

Hmm, but maybe "visualising" our bad actions as demons we have to fight could help you to progress on your way...why not after all ?[}:)]

[^]Insert, this is correct.  In the same way, we are responsible for our dreams.  Nobody is doing it to us- we are doing it all.

Our IGNORANCE of universal laws causes us much pain.

The spirits who put things in our way only make us stronger...the more I die, the better I live.

Herein lies the key- we are affected by our ignorance. [^]  It is not an idividual, a race of people, or a country that is bad- IGNORANCE is the enemy.  When we understand this and bring it to life, we'll stop waging war out of ignorance.  In the interim, we'll reap what we sow...

Human beings are lazy in thought.  However, the ancestor to every action is a thought.  If one is lazy in thought; one is lazy in deed.

It is important to understand that we are affected by what we have done in the past, too.  In the same way that tomorrow is a continuation of today, this life is a continuation of our previous lives.  "Born-agains" don't believe this, but nature tells us this is true.  This is an irony of ironies...

From what i can gather from Robert writings in his Practical Psychic Self-Defense book, Negs will attack whoever they can.  Anyone that can open themselves up to them, subconsciously too.
When we dream Negs can influence what we dream (nightmares etc).  If you have a neg attachment it will take advantages of all your down sides of life.  If you like a drink, it might make your drink become a problem, an addiction.  They could turn your life upside down.  And you may not even register it!
I think religion may effect how easy it is for a neg to attach itself.  Beliefs of some kind could open you up, or allow a neg to come to you.  Or it could have the reverse effect.
Ignorance is a problem, but will not stop an attack.  It may just mask the real happenings.

To get a better idea i recommend anyone who is interested, to read the book.

Hope that helps.

while negs may have some influence on people, i don't think that every wrong turn a person makes is always from negs.  we should not always be blaming negs for our faults and bad things that happen in life.  blaming negs for everything bad is a lazy way of handling things... that is not taking responsibility for one's own actions, you are dumping all the blame on something outside of yourself. i think people must first look truthfully at themselves before concluding that the problem is neg-created.  sometimes being weakened by all these sinful things leads to more weakening simply because the person is weak to begin with, or too lazy or uncaring or too blind to what the consequences are to try to fight these vices and make changes in their lives.  perhaps most of the negs that we run across are simply just are own "inner demons" taking form.  i think people tend to use the neg excuse too much, so they don't have to work on themselves, and to deny that they have some inner problems that they have to deal with.  this is just my opinion, though.

personally, it gives me the creeps to think that everything bad that happens and every bad feeling or thought i have is the result of some negs influencing me & my life... i don't think that's a very healthy way to live, thinking that you are constantly plagued by "demons".  it will never resolve anything, and make you constantly live in fear, and not face life and the truths about yourself.  i think it stunts spiritual growth.  we are human beings, we are not perfect, we are made up of good & bad... we can't be beings of unending positivity all the time!  i think that most of the time bad things happen because, well, that's just life.  lessons to learn, experiences to be had.  i'm not saying that there's no such thing as negs, but i think that they don't have that much power over our lives, and that they really don't have to bother working hard to make our lives hell... we do it to ourselves.  of course, there's always the special cases out there where negs might be totally harassing someone... but probably the majority of people's problems are of their own creation.

i think perhaps one of the problems christians have, like you stated above, is that what leads to their weaknesses and "neg problems" is that many (not all, but many!) of them are not spiritual except when they step foot in the church.  when they're not in church, they behave in ways that jesus would just not approve of, and they figure they can do what they want because jesus already bought their way into heaven by dying for their sins.  they can go ahead and sin, and then ask for jesus's forgiveness, thinking that as long as they accept jesus as their saviour and all that, that their sins are wiped clean.  they just create problems for themselves, though, in that they never want to really work on themselves.  the problem may not always be negs, but just sheer laziness... they're used to having jesus do all the work for them.  when you don't take care of a problem, well, most of the time it's naturally gonna get worse and worse.  all the prayers to jesus and all the warding off of negs is never going to cure the real source of the problem:  within the person.  if christians can start living more spiritually and start working on improving their inner selves, they may find that their "neg problems" will disappear.  why should they always ask jesus for forgiveness and turn around and do the same crap again?  what kind of relationship is that with jesus?  if we always do that to someone, how can they ever trust us to do the right thing, and take their pleas for forgiveness seriously?  what a slap in the face for jesus... he died for our sins, and so people just keep on sinning and not work toward deserving to go to heaven.  maybe christians need to stop thinking, "oh jesus loves me, he'll forgive me when i ask him to" and start thinking, "i want jesus to be proud of me and to have a trusting relationship with him, where not only do i have faith in him, but he can have faith in me to do the right thing, and follow his teachings."

I agree LogoRat. My question is what is it that causes us to focus on things that are self-destructive??  Weak mindedness?  Lack of will power?

I've found myself in situations at times that I feel I moved through unaware.  Like a dreamt my way to a certain point and then became aware that I had placed myself in a situation that was not good.  I still take full responsibility for my actions during those times.  How can I not?  I manifested that situation by my thoughts and then my actions.

I guess if one believed in reincarnation and Karma you could say those were lessons to be learned.  If one is a Christian, one would believe it was the work of some kind of negative force.  I guess there could many explanations to what was really at work there.
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a  well  preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting,

". . . holy sh*t . . . what a ride!"

I think there are several things to take into consideration here. First, motivation. People are not always aware of the rewards of hard work and discipline, as well as wisdom. People only want to do what is necessary to live. That is a problem in itself. The fact that the technology we have makes things far easier for us physically sets up an illusion that we no longer have to work so hard to survive. I think that the power outage in August in New York was a warning. It was a warning that we rely far too much on technology. People didn't know what to do so they walked around aimlessly. Even the newscasters addressed this problem but did not address the issue that maybe it was time to refine our society and learn the ropes of basic survival.

Next is the sociological aspects of our society. People think it's cool to drink and they do it because they don't want to look like a loser or a goody-goody. I know very few people who do not drink at all. They are strong-minded individuals. I think that being strong-minded means taking the bullet for what you believe in. In other words, not giving in to what other people want just because you want them to like you. We live in a society that expects us to conform. This is dangerous and boring. It is dangerous because it breeds weak minds, and it is boring because most people act similarly to most things or have similar attitudes. There is no challenge of diversity.

As far as negs go, I think that we ourselves do create our own problems, and negs just take advantage of them. WE become addicted to alcohol, we are not made this way by negs. WE become lazy and complacent. This is not the negs' fault. WE choose to look at pornography, etc... Negs just do things like help us become rooted in our problems. But we can pull ourselves out if we decide that we want to change. For example, if you decided you wanted to become more physically fit and decided to go to the gym every day, then you would need to have the discipline to do so. You do not make exceptions because if you do, you will keep making more until you just stop going altogether. Your drive collapses and you become fat and lazy.

Being a Christian myself and reasonally well experienced in exorsism, I have experienced many fellow believers afflicted ,if you will by neg attacks. For a while I pondered this and have come to the conclusion that there are 2 kinds of attacks, one direct possession which I believe cannot happen to a Born again Christian, and oppression which I have seen many many times. The difference between a strong opression and mild posession is very small but I believe it is there. I think we as Christians who believe ourselves to continually be forgiven for daily sin get very complacent and take advantadge of this, dabbeling in mostly lust related things. Pornography and sexual perversions, greed, and alcohol abuse seem to be major areas where Christians are attacked. The problem we have is that we get lazy we do not accept the fact that these Negs (spirits)have inroad through these things, they weaken us and we throufgh this ignorance lay ourselves open for these things. Another very powerful neg that seem to have multiplied itself and is affecting religion today in general but specifically Christians is a Spirit of Selfrighteousness. I believe this has to be a very powerful Demon prince who uses things like pride self ego and the mind to gain acces to entire churches and groups.

Any input ??
