Title: Split personality universal consciousness
Post by: Homesick on October 07, 2011, 04:59:59
There are many views similar based in that we are all one and interconnected, but have there been any books or articles exploring this dynamic deeper?

I'm at work so i keep this very short.
First of all try to get rid of the idea that split personality is somekind of sickness or this gives very weird look on everything  :-D

How i view all this is that there is one consciousness at the very highest peak of reality, just pure creativity not capable of perceiving itself or thinking on it's own, could be anything we cant understand really, some may call it god. We are then just end points of this imagination if you will. Funny when you think about madness in this context, it just becomes kind of overextend flow of this creativity from where it should have manifested as single coherent mind perceiving itself.
Where would have this all started then? What makes most sense is that first this point of pure consciousness splits creating several lower entities that aren't as pure but more varied. Maybe the purest form is one emotion, love so pure we cant get our minds around it just like one part can't perceive the whole. These lower entities could then be several other basic emotions creating balance. This split then continues decreasing in intesity but increasing in varitety until there is entire worlds created and parts of the whole living in them and forgetting even what they are part of, and i'm not necesserily speaking about humans now as who's to say there can't be this kind of self deception in higher dimensions, higher levels of consciousness too, and i belive there is.
Simple, right?  :-D

Seems like you cant edit your posts?

I just had to add one more idea coming from this.

I started to think about us and why would we be at the lowest level.
It seems to me that this creative process have found nice balance not only in "good" and "evil" side of things but also in how far to go with slitting itself. This balance then is that this consciousness is far enough and varied to manifest this kind of perfect physical world for parts to live in an interesting way all the while still having enough "juice" left for these parts to be creative enough to fully live in this manifested world and not to become too simple.

Is this source then limited in some way? Is it expanding as population is growing or they coming from higher levels in larger numbers?
*head explodes*

Never wrote these down before, becomes more clear to me too as a consequence.

When i read your post - I think I get what you mean. I tend to think of things like this:

Same 'being' but spilt and each has their own sense of self and can act for themselves.

Good post Homesick. I like thinking until my head nearly explodes.

One way I like to view consciousness is through fractals / the mandelbrot set:

Imagine each shape being a complete universe in itself. Each shape next to it or born from it carries most of it's properties, yet changes a tiny bit, so each piece is unique with no two alike. And the mandelbrot equation itself is infinite... it will never end in creating something unique. To me, this is a scientific/physical example of the infinite-ness of consciousness and how all of nature is born out of it - just look at all the things in nature that resemble the shapes that come out of fractals.

my theories definitely involve some kind of split.. good/bad, pure/evil, one/the other.. i think defining an ultimate source should be avoided in terms of evolution.. somehow.. what?

I found this extremely interesting.

Almost identical to what i was thinking as a whole, i just still don't think creator is all that thoughtful as this makes you believe or that we are so close or special to creator in grand scheme of things.

I don't think there is much of a purpose, all is just spontaneously manifested in all different shapes and forms, consciousness and "imagination" is the result and indeed maybe fractals are best way to describe the structure.

Loved the picture about layers of our human consciousness, seems very true that even we aren't all that separate, lines are very blurred between everything.

I feel i get it somehow, it just makes me cry in frustration when i see how weakly it comes out in typed form or even how i cant grasp it by thinking it trough. One thing's for sure, you need to forget everything to understand anything :)

Enjoy.
