I think there is no standard. There is a minority here that believe OBE/AP is a dream or something like that. So this forum has many beliefes even when its intention is OBE/AP techniques and discussion.
I don't believe the "there are 7 dimensions" thing.
"For example- do the majority of people on the Astral pulse believe that we are spiritual beings occupying a shell, in order to learn the values and attitudes which make us better people? - is that a general consensus on here?"
I believe that, except the "in order to learn the values and attitudes which make us better people" part. I dont think theres a 'reason', its just the way we are right now. I believe that our soul is much deeper than our real (astral) bodies, though.
"Do we beleive that there are 7 planes of existence, and that the physical is the lowest in vibration, therefore all physical beings on the grand scheme of things are relatively immature and unevolved."
Thats 'iffy'. I believe there are 2 planes of existance. life and Death. I, personaly, will not go to the astral when i die. I'm going to Heaven, which, imo, is way beyond astral.
"Do we beleive that when we die, we will review our life and either choose another life in order to learn what we need to or remain on the astral because we are beyond any more learning on the physical.."
I believe that when we die we exit this life, but we dont cease to exist. We continue for all eternity. No reniewing life or choosing other lives, imo.
THe majority here are catholics wile at the same time many people are not believers in anything.
Each of us must open our minds to the infinite possibilities that exist, but have not as yet been revealed to us. Many of the people on these forums are here to learn what they can from the experiences of others. Some seek a spiritual path that will allow them to form their own truths thru factual experiences. Projectors have pretty much proven to themselves that their consciousness can transcend their physical bodies. You can draw whatever conclusion you wish from that. I don't know if there are 7 planes of existence and will have to reserve my opinion on that if or until I can experience each of them and then that will be my truth. Each of us who read a lot and form opinions based on what we read must determine for ourselves what we wish to believe and interpret as facts. It is a sifting process that takes time and a great deal of thoughtfulness. Think of yourself as a huge sponge just soaking up all the incoming data and then meditate on the most important elements and discard the rest.
The standard belief is that everyone is entitled to their own belief.
Hi rodentmouse,
Good topic. I thought it would be most appropriate in the Spiritual Development forum rather than obe discussions. If you disagree please pm me and we'll work something out.
Very best,

This is true..to an extent. When someone starts saying they can tell you and teach you about things..well, hmmmmm..then I want some evidence!!
Nay.
Well yeah but what about spiritual things?
hello good people :D
Are there any accepted ideas on these forums which people accept as true/fact?
For example- do the majority of people on the Astral pulse believe that we are spiritual beings occupying a shell, in order to learn the values and attitudes which make us better people? - is that a general consensus on here?
Do we beleive that there are 7 planes of existence, and that the physical is the lowest in vibration, therefore all physical beings on the grand scheme of things are relatively immature and unevolved.
Do we beleive that when we die, we will review our life and either choose another life in order to learn what we need to or remain on the astral because we are beyond any more learning on the physical..
and other questions like these, i see these as the most logical but i dont want set anything in concrete yet until i can verify it with my own experience.
Ive been weary about being brainwashed with it all, i dont want to contribute to making all this a bit to cult-ish.
I think im open minded, quite peaceful on the inside and generally i try to be a good person, this to me says a lot about what i do beleive, without being bigheaded-- and the notions on these forums seem the most logical to me compared to all other theories/religions on creation.
