Time to Awaken Again

 The last couple of weeks I have been in different places with groups of people and see that this message needs to be shared. So PLEASE share it with others. It seems like people are falling asleep again, I mean where awareness is concerned. Their devices are taking them over and unfortunately they can't see it happening.

  We have bigger houses but smaller families;
more conveniences, but less time.

We have more degrees but less sense;
more knowledge but less judgment;
more experts, but more problems;
more medicines but less healthiness.

We've been all the way to the moon and back,
but have trouble in crossing the street to meet our new neighbor.

We built more computers to hold more copies than ever,
but have less real communication;
We have become long on quantity,
but short on quality.

These are times of fast foods but slow digestion;
Tall men but short characters;
Steep profits but shallow relationships.

It's a time when there is much in the window but nothing in the room

I have noticed this too! It feels very strange seeing people placing value in things that one may consider less in value, such as negative news, online games, fights, phones, computers etc...
I actually think Prince Ea shared a video with similar statement as yours!

I see some friends or acquintances looking at their phones 24/7 even when speaking or being with friends it all just seem so sad and strange to me. Even though I spend much time on my computer I don't like phone and take time to meditate och take a walk in nature often. I also use the computer as a tool for creation and choices rather then being hypnotized by its contents.

I appreciate your message and will share it if I feel an individual may need it and is open to it.

This is a message I share often when appropriate. I'm probably not as worried about it though as some people seem to be. I correlate much of what is happening on the big scale of the world with what happens on much smaller individual level.

The baby thinks only of himself. The young adult sees more and wants more. The middle aged person begins reflecting on all that stuff he/she has surrounded themselves with. The aged come to a point where they know most of it is junk and move onto to more divine thoughts and actions.  Just like the larger world is doing.

So if this holds true most of the time then it points to our 'world' as a whole reaching a point of saturation with 'stuff' and growing wiser as we begin dropping these things in lie of boredom with things instead of action and being.

In other words the next step is - Wisdom.

I keep reading things on Forums and listening to Radio talk show speakers, that constantly say that good things are occurring and change is now here. But I just don't see it. I have always been a observer and what I currently am observing doesn't show positive progress. But just like anything else new, we will abuse it until we finally find some kind of balance with it. My hope is that all this constant texting, Facebook, Snapchat, etc., will lead to some form of Telepathy. That's the only really positive outcome I can see from this.

His quote wasn't targeted on just the techno part of things. It had many other good points, other really important things we seem to be neglecting.

Truth spoken.

Love the last line with the window and the room. Wonderful metaphor.

Outer appearance and standing seems the only thing that counts in a narcisstic selfie/ego-driven society.

I try to stay out of the "matrix".

I have a smartphone but don't use it at all. Internet on the desktop mostly for some alternative sites, music and forums like these. Computer also for creativity (music). I cannot understand why people just reproduce patterns instead of becoming creators themselves. I came into contact with pc/console gamers recently, they just play inside pre-fabricated fantasy worlds instead of creating their own, there is nothing real about their passion imv, they don't create. How can you pass your time with this?

I agree with you, Lumaza, that unfortunately I do not (yet) see any 'shift' or evolution in society, even though some spiritual or alternative circles want to see a great awakening. So far it's delusional for me. It just did not happen yet.

Just look at topics like ours. Astral projection. Every being on Earth could try it and change their reality almost instantly over night. Instead they watch the newest celeb gossip or funny cat vids on YouTube (nothing against cats though, I love them) check their Twitter/Facebook daily and that's it.

It's sad. They are all programmed software.

People follow tons of celebrities on Twitter. Just these notifications alone will have you glued to you phone 24/7 LOL. If I become a celebrity I will NOT have any social media accounts.

I have also seen so many people getting emotionally hurt if they don't get LIKE or comments on their FB pages. Really? I've seen people deleting their accounts for that reason, but then coming back again. Somehow they feel unvalidated and unloved if they don't get enough attention. This is not good for the young generation's emotional health.

I totally agree with what you all are saying. Emotionally our modern form of socializing is very poor. I hearten myself with the knowledge though that are some who can maintain their balance or regain it once they've dipped their toes in the sm waters.

I know of a few celebrities who very much use social media responsibly. On one website there are a number of celebrities who do not pose as their well known status but under pseudonyms and behave quite like 'normal' well-rounded individuals.

I still have hope for humanity. Maybe I'm just a die-hard optimist. But I also don't see any huge awakening having happened or happening in the near future. I'm not on that band-wagon either.

I love that last line too, pretty much sums up the whole -

As a younger person myself it is almost necessary to have some social media at times, although I have made sure to include positive vibes and news into my facebook flow.
I do however think people are beginning to wake up gradually, how fast I don't know. I mean look at how people start caring more about not eating animals anymore and allowing people to be who they are and loving who they wanna love. It has progressed rapidly on some fronts in the past few years, although there may be many negative sides to.

Anyone who seeks will find that is what happened to me and ending up in these kind of circles since 2012.
