What do you believe happens after we die ? I am slightly stumped on this, people say we get reincarnated until we have learnt all we can etc..but, im not so sure. Would we not go into the highest plane after we die and be free'd from the bonds of our physical body ?

There's of course a billion different beliefs on this... and this is just another one, but here goes.
Your body dies, you leave your body.
If it's your first OBE it will probably be interesting for you. You'll probably spend some time in the physical getting use to it.
I believe that at this point your body is still providing a source of energy and an anchor point to stay in the physical realm. I also believe that this won't last beyond a few days. At which point you'll experience the "second death" and move on to a different astral plane.
Now, it's possible to prevent this through other means, but those methods are not something an adept of the light should do. And it's also possible to take over another body, etc, but that's very obscure (and dark) knowledge.
Who knows what happens at this point, but my guess is you -- or whatever is left of "you" spends some time in the spirit realm, you're most likely drawn to like energy.
After all of this if you're still addicted to the physical earth game you wait in line and go back, or maybe one of your friends still is and you decide to go back to help them...
So I think at that point is all very personal, case by case.
You go to the plane that you are most aligned with, and I don't there is a highest plane, there's always one more that's higher.
