talking to guides

I SOOOOO know how frustrating that can be!

When I was first visited by the Spirit of Nature, I knew there were many names that have been given to her by many different cultures. When it became obvious that she was staying in contact with me on a more or less permanent basis, I asked her what I should call her.

Her usual reply was "why are you so obsessed with having to label everything?"

When talking about her I usually refer to her as The Green Lady, or The Goddess, but it's very hard to try to talk to her without giving her a name. Social conditioning I suppose. I've considered that for beings who do not require linguistic type verbal communications, the feeling of their presence is as much an identification as a name is. They don't seem to require names.
And yes she is right - I am obsessed with 'labelling' things.[:I]

I met a spirit teacher once - bad story.  My fault, she was entirely correct, but I just wasn't up to it.  *sigh*

Harley, you have to assert that you are trying to be friendly when trying to talk with such beings. Otherwise they will treat you in a similair manner a stranger might treat you when just bumping into you on the street.

It took me a while for Kereen to give me her name. probably about a month or so. They will only give you a name if you relate to them on a personal level that goes deeper than friendship.

James: not sure about the labeling thing except that when talking to some spririt beings I sometimes have to project a thought form at them of who I am talking about in order to get them to understand. Kind of a strange way to talk at first. Other spirit beings I can only project thought forms period. some spirits do not comprehend human speech I noticed.

I assume you are talking about a spirit guide if yes, know that many of them don't care about having a name. A name is something we use on the physical plane on other planes they don't need names , because , they don't use oral language , they don't have a particular or specific body, they recognize each other by vibratory signature. Therefore a name is useless . May be, your guide want to encourage to evolve to the point you can give up identifying by physicality (apparence, voice,odor etc ....) and identify by energy  signature.

my input on this is: you might want to investigate if the "Green Lady" is a loving (mother - but sexy) Goddess. In Tibetan Buddhism the Goddess TARA (GREEN TARA) is known as the One who Fullfills all Wishes and some scriptures say she appears more easily to those who seek spiritual development.

harlequin_star, I can understand that you are frustrated over the lack of information exchange. I know this personally from my own Pleiadian guide who also keeps information from me, but for a reason. I usually channel in the Communications section with Edi on a joint venture with two alien species, who are known as the Reptilians and the Zeta. These two species being willing to help with answering members questions in respectively the Reptilian and Zeta Communications threads. I will however in this case let the Zeta comment on your question here, as they have expressed an interest in doing so, and because it might give you some insights in why she wont give her name. I will channel this comment by the help of my guide, who will provide a telepathic connection to the Zeta.

Zeta:
The guides have a plan for each individual, and its this plan that decides what the individual needs. It is by this plan that the guides decide the way the individual should be influenced and helped. When the guides find that the individual is ready for the personal information about the guide, that is in charge of the development of the individual, they give it to him/her. This applies for any information that is passed on to the individual, and it makes sure that the individual recieves the information that is best suited for his/her development. The guides will under any circumstance find themselves following the rules that follow their job, and one of those rules describes the importance of allways following that individual plan. So even though a guide may be tempted to reveal its name, then it might not be in accordance to the plan of the individual.

well, thats pretty much how it happened (although this post was a while ago) i was asking her so much and she would just say "no" or why i was "so obsessed with having a name for everything" so's i gave up asking (that was months ago) an just a few weeks ago she told me, like outta the blue totally.
Trust me, we've got a slick relationship, its not at all about how well our communications are. Oh, heres a good question opportunity[]
When i'ma talkin to her, its like a normal conversation, not like im meditating, but all the time, everyday, 24/7. its been like that for awhile. .is this just me, or do ya'll have som'n like that goin on? i also do divination, but i just started with that. .its kinda interesting. .its more. .i dunno. ..sacred i guess, like, serious and not like a light n breezy conversation like we sometimes have.
