Lately i figure i must be fairly sensitive to energy.

As if i am to put a herb in my mouth - ie tribulus, brahmi, ginkgo biloba, Liquorice (amoung other things) i can feel some amount of (possibly) energetic effect upon my body and mind (and experience some of the sensations or feelings that happen after eating the herb for a week or longer or a few hours of digesting or drinking - depending upon which herb and how prepared).

Anyone else sensitive like this? or is it actually a level of sensitivity i should use?

I figure it is from sensitivity of energy body and awareness rather than any physical action becasue it is happening too fast to have any effect up any organ i know of, through any mechanism i am aware of.

PS. i'm a Naturopathic student so could be handy in future. i suppose it may not be that hard of a task to experience it by putting the herb on the tongue as one smell of an essential oil can create almost instant resluts (though this can - i think - be explained through physical actions) - it there more going on in the body at a quantum level than we know??

It might be a few particles stimulating your sense of smell, but who knows.  I had a similar thought when I started recently noticing that I can get the sensation of the taste of something simply by receiving it and carrying it in my hands, even when it doesn't taste like it smells or when it's packaged.

Along the quantum interaction line, your hands are supposed to be particularly sensitive energy exchange centers.  So subtle energy is supposed to flow more easily through your hands,  also your feet and in general wherever you have a lot of nerves in your body.  Your hands have proportionately a lot more nerves per area than most other parts of your body, for example.
What is the sound of no leaves cloving?

Hi newmethod,
try holding a herb in your hand and clear your mind of all thoughts. Pay attention to any sensations you feel in any part of your body. Then research the herb and see if it is used for heeling in the areas that you felt the sensations in. I have learned through the teachings of a Lippin Apache shaman that it is possible to hold a plant, know what it's used for and how to prepare it. You seem to tapping into this. I must say though to allways check at least 3 references before using any plants.

This is how the animals know what to eat, what not to eat and what plants they need to heel themselves. The only thing is is they don't think about it, they just know instinctively. Primitive peoples had this ability and some still do but modern humans have lost it or at least are not aware of it.

Thanks for your reply owl! :)

I know a lot of actions/indications of herbal medicines as i am a final year Naturopath student.
If what I am feeling is REAL it could prove useful sometime in the future especially if i can feel it through my hands. I will experiment with this and get back to you.

Thanks again,
