Hi there. My father is going into surgery for a near 6-inch aneurism on the 5th of March. He is 65 and quite obese. Good to know that he has some of the best team surgeons working on him though. However, he is a very negative and 'woe-is-me' type of guy. At times he is very negative and angry, impulsive, disrespectful and cold, proud and selfish and childish. While just as many other times he is quite the opposite: happy, positive, very social, generous. He's two sides of one coin, pretty much. Well, he's going into surgery this upcoming week, as I said. My relatives (aunt, half-sister, etc.) try to assure me they'll come and visit him to take some weight off my chest. My mom is giving up work for a few days to stay at home and help take care of him though right now she's working like a dog at her two jobs as a waitress for nearly 18 hours most days (my father is retired even though he sometimes earns money by making websites for people). Even my brother said not to worry about it and that everything will be fine. See, thing is, it'll take at least two months for him to recover from this major abdominal surgery. I'm worried that my household will come apart even further (although we seem stable there are times when we aren't, like during the arguments between my parents, some of which are started by my father over things that to other people including myself are quite stupid to be argued over). I feel I need all the help I can get to get us all through these hard upcoming months. I would be eternally grateful to all of you if you could send some positive, healing energy to me and my family to help us through these rough times. Thank you so much.

I'll keep you on my mind :-)
Thank you. I'm not used to asking the forums for sending healing energy and the likes, so if any particular information is necessary/required please let me know and I'll drop y'all a PM. :)
I'll send a prayer.
Thanks, CF. :-)
A quick little update:
Thanks to everyone who is sending prayers out to my family and me. They are helping immensely. My father had surgery yesterday afternoon and everything in surgery went fine. He is now in ICU and will be until Monday. I have only seen him once - before surgery. But my mom has seen him a few times since he was admitted. He is apparently doing very well, being very pleasant and positive about everything. Thanks again for all the prayers. They really are helping! :-)

I'm very happy to hear the good news. Many blessings for you and your family.
I seemed to have abandoned this topic. :|
Well, my father is doing very well and fast recovering from his surgery. By the time we (my family and I) go to Italy June 4 (graduation present sort of thing) he should be good as new. I really appreciate all of the healing energies and thoughts being sent from this forum. It means a lot to me that people I barely know have helped us (my family and I) in such ways as praying and what have you. Many thanks!
