This may seem like a strange request, but it's important to me.

See, there's this person that I would love to have as a friend, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I have what I guess you could call a fear of rejection; I always seem to be paranoid that no one will want to be friendly with me. It's an almost crippling fear.

This person is really nice, and I'd love them to be a friend of mine. I was wondering if you could either pray, or send positive thoughts my way, in order to help work things out and get this person to become a friend of mine? I'd really, really love to have them as a friend.

You have my prayers about the friend, and I'm also lifting up your paranoia. These fears can be deep rooted and hard to overcome, but you put out good energy on these forums. It will come back to you.
