Hiya..this being my first post,i would like to start off by asking a question that has been in my mind for some time...Which religions are for it and which are against...(i think that Islam forbids it???)...so ppl start replying.. :D

Hi

In Islam spying on someone is forbidden.  However, using any latent abilities for further oneself should be fine.  To the best of my knowledge the system of Islam does not have any restrictions regarding this providing the person is not spying on another.

Psi is magicish, and if it's not prayer it's bad for the christians. Buddhism loves it though, you should be buddhist, or maybe a taoist, if you're going to be one with the Tao though, be playful and not serious about the psi.

Isiah

Christianity, Islam and Judaism are against it. Buddhism is also, essentially.

beavis

The buddhists i've talked to like psi.

You

Yeah Isiah, where does it say the Buddhists hate psi? The Buddhist temple next door to me that I've visited several times list healing miracles and psychic phenomena as enhanced attributes in spiritual development.

Before giveing any specific answers it might help to expand on what you mean by 'psi' as that is so vague a term as to mean anything..
Any vision of god could be called 'psi'.. its a slightly corny term as well... sounds a bit Marvel Comics to me

Psi is the psion's word for Prana or Ki or Life Force or whatever... energy and stuff.

Hey everyone :) Alchemy has roots in Islam And Islam includes the hidden Science and the Great work. Islam teaches you the Universal language (any Alchemist knows it). Spying in the sense that you mean by remote viewing well it depends. I mean if you focus on someone who's minding their business i think it´s very much up to do but it is not classed as a good thing no. There is only one true Islam keep that in mind because what you see on TV and media is mostly wrong.

I can recommend reading a book called "Islamic Spirituality"
It is really many volumes combined to one but it teaches you a great deal about Spirituality, Islam, Religions. Islam is all about peace :)

Islam is definitely FOR PSI. It is said that the prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) Astral Traveled to higher realms and could See in every direction. Islam is more then a religion

But then again many people have never heard those words

Well, Buddhism(especially Tibetian Buddhism) and Hinduism are the most PSI open religions.  The Abrahamic religions are generally close-minded about cultivating psychic abilities and those who do have these abilities are select and chosen by god.

Hinduism is the only religion that has an exact systematic science of psychic abilities under the system of yoga. There is also a comprehensive ancient sanskrit treatise discussing all of the 8 psychic abilities, astral projection, activating kundalini and other related stuff. I have seen it referenced on some sites.
