I read about this many times.

I think it was some doctor studying lucid dreaming he was gonna do some experiment to prove it exsists but failed annd at the same time across the atlantic another person was experimenting with the duplicate of what the man  in england was.

i think the same goes for alot of things i cant recall but heard of

i think one of the things was the light bulb one person in america was trying the exact experiment as in england

and then theres other stuff too likes of before space was ever explored via rocket how did they suspect that we need oxegyen cause theres no oxygen up there.

How did they decide that if you get a bit of metal mould it into a gun you can shoot bullets.

how come people in eygypt were maing pyramids and the exact same thing was happening in south america when they had no way to know what was going on in eithe country.

so then is there some sort of universal enrgy or knowledge that we can tap into at certain stages in our progression so to find the ideas out about making planes guns pyramids space travel
or have we got some sort of alien or astral beings helping us giving us hints and suggestions to improve our pogressin of civilasation?

i mean i thought the first city made was babylon or jericho and both of them were in the middle east or africa or something then civilasation pops up in greece and eygpt. thats understandable cause the countrys are within reach and means of communicating with each other

but then how come civilasation pops up in rome when thats stranded from the rest its even distant from greece

how come rome had the same gods as greece just with diffrent names. ok mabye they copied but what happens if it was more than just copying. what happenes if it was some alien visitors that they called gods that were helping us out with progression of civilasation

it just seems all weird me and theres no such thing as coincidence without meaning.

I mean all the religons of old held the sun as a great deity most of them had a thing for the stars.
i mean in babylon instead of wondering what to build next they were trying to find out more about the stars.

eygpt alighned the pyrimads in unison with some stars.

celts had a thing about the stars.

how did some one realise the north star is always pointing north.

i mean why would some ne belive the gods lived on mount olympus

ok mabye the whole world then were just dillusional fools or mabye it was just a coincidence

but mabye not huh

Interesting questions.  As usual I'll give you either my opinion.

I don't know anything about that.  I do know that many scientists like Stephen La Berge and Charles Tart have studied many of those things (LDs, psychic phenomena in humans) but I don't know how you 'prove' that LDs exist.  After all, it's a subjective experience.  But, some of them did something with blinking, however I don't think it was 'disproven'.  Something that is not really probable isn't disprovable either.

Quotei think one of the things was the light bulb one person in america was trying the exact experiment as in england
That sounds like Rupert Sheldrake's theories about morphic resonance, maybe.

Quoteand then theres other stuff too likes of before space was ever explored via rocket how did they suspect that we need oxegyen cause theres no oxygen up there.
That one's easy.  The reason we have a blue sky is because our atmosphere diffuses photons.  So if you see black space when there is no light shining directly in front of you, you know there's no atmosphere in space.  There were other ways of finding out, but that's the most obvious one.

QuoteHow did they decide that if you get a bit of metal mould it into a gun you can shoot bullets.
It didn't really work that way.  The chinese years ago invented dynamite, and used it in fireworks.  Later on more 'warlike' people (westeners) applied this principle to guns- you put something in the gun (the technology existed already, it just wasn't applied to 'throwing things at others with speed' until the ideas of slings and such were combined with the technology of fireworks to create the first guns.

Quotehow come people in eygypt were maing pyramids and the exact same thing was happening in south america when they had no way to know what was going on in eithe country.
There's lots of theories out there.  From the more metaphysical (archetypes or morphic resonance, take your pick) to the most mundane- most ancient civilizations revered the earth, and mountains are all over the place, so the 'mountain' shape is from nature.  Sure, some will tell you pyramids are very specific, but some early ones were rounded (like a mound), and not all had four sides, although a four sided pyramid is a whole lot more stable.  In fact, the North American mounds have been theorized to have been earthen pyramids that just didn't last, because they were made of dirt and grass, and maybe wood, which was plentiful in the area.
Whatever you believe, it is very cool to see them all over the place, there's a few even in China, IIRC.

Quoteso then is there some sort of universal enrgy or knowledge that we can tap into at certain stages in our progression so to find the ideas out about making planes guns pyramids space travel
Carl Jung would call them archetypes-

Maybe.  Nothing really surprises me.

Quotei mean i thought the first city made was babylon or jericho and both of them were in the middle east or africa
I could be wrong, but I had the impression that the first 'cities' were made in China and then there were the ones in India (Harappa) and then all the other ones we know about.  But I could be wrong, it's been a long time since I studied this in college.

Quotebut then how come civilasation pops up in rome when thats stranded from the rest its even distant from greece
The romans conquered greece, and then copied almost all aspects of their culture.  A more 'honest' mediterranean civilization could be the Etruscans, who had a very cool civilization (with printing and everything) before Rome became an empire.
Before I get yelled at, as a roman descendant, I'll say this:  The only things the Romans ever invented were their architecture (they invented the arch) and had the first 'official' aqueduct (believe it or not, Harappa in India had working toilets with indoor plumbing about 3 or 4000 years before the Romans, but that's another story).  Everything else they copied from whoever they conquered.  And they conquered everyone.  Since the greeks were the cultural center of civilization of their time, the Romans copied their culture.

Quoteeygpt alighned the pyrimads in unison with some stars.

Have you ever been out in the country at night?  The stars are really "in your face", not like in a city with electricity, which competes for the view.  Back then people had no TV to keep them busy at night, so it would be more 'normal' to go out in the night and look at the stars.  No electricity, no TV.  Writing and reading were done by candlelight, fairly early.

Of course, nothing can be proved in this regard- there are lots of evidence, though, that ancient civilizations were smarter than we think, regardless from what we believe.  We tend to think that 'gadgets' are an indicator of how smart we are- but I sometimes think this is not accurate.  We may have brilliant gadgets, but the average person doesn't understand how a calculator works, or what a transistor is (which is almost obsolete) but can work a computer with no problem.

But that's another post.
Sorry about the rant.
I'm ranty today.

Yeah when i use to teach mountain climbing the stars were so gawjus i rember seeing a shooting star near the bealiric islands but not just one about 6 or 7 at the same time.

i agree that most people are quite ignorant to knowledge and as long as it works they dont care how it works.
