For quite a while, I have been attending a Baptist Church, and doing a lot of their activities and gatherings with them. For quite some time, I have also noticed that Baptism is very confusing... It's so negative, or so it seems. So I started this topic to try and get some clarification.
Why is it, that the Baptist belief system beliefs so zealously in the "fact" that any and everyother religion, whether it's a denomonation of Christianity or not goes to Hell?
Why do they blame women for the down fall of man (I'm a guy, btw)? They think women are mans helper. And that the man is always right. And I can tell you from experience folks, us guy stend to be wrong a lot of the time.
Why do they humble themselves so much? Dimish the confidence of their followers.

In short, is there anythign Baptist have to say that isn't pig headed or arrogant?

I attended a baptist church for a little under a year, a southern baptist one at that, but I never noticed any of these characteristics, also I am pretty sure that those qualities you just listened aren't in the official doctrines of the chruch.
I understand that I am really biased on this topic, but I would like to know on what information or experiences you are basing your opinion of the baptist church.

I have gone to many Christian churchs in my time and I can tell you that each one is different. I suggest that you look into other Christian churchs if you are uncomfortable with the current one you attend. I also suggest that you don't limit yourself to Baptist either. Go out and get a feel for what all is out there. There are some Christian divisions that believe other religions are valid and that all religions lead to the same source.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

If it makes you feel any better, I know some catholic churches believe the same thing about other branches of christianity.

And zealous behavior is not necessarily a function of the church doctrine as much as individual perception/interpretation.

I do agree that you should try other branches. I've tried lutheran, episcopalian, and protestant. I know enough about catholocism to know it isn't for me. Eventually I realized none of them were for me. But that's my own personal choice. The point is that you seem to be quite bothered by what you perceive your church's teaching entail. If that's the case, then it sounds like you need to do some exploring to find something that rings true and feels right to you.
Reality is what you perceive it to be.

Thank you. I Have managed to find an intrigiuing Pagan religion, as a matter of fact. But you replies are apreciated.

Thank!

Kitsune, why are you so obsessed with religion, is it to fill a void, well you will never achieve that by going to church and listen to some silly preacher

I definitely wouldn't call Paganism a void filler.
It's not like most other religions.

Also, in the original topic post Kitsune wasn't even promoting religion, (s)he was actually more demoting it.

I have an untraditional idea here, so bear with me:  If you indeed feel a yearning to know about religion (back to the fill the void analogy)- instead of joining a religion, which IMO no matter which will always present a skewed view on the spiritual history- why don't you take a college course on comparative religion or history of religion?  You will get a more rounded view about it, and help you in your spiritual search.
