New Age - the future one religion?

The video below, its message - might be perceived as quite controversial since the New Age philosophy permeates our modern life. Definitely, there are many positive elements in it. But is it possible that there is an agenda in starting and propagating this movement? It obviously could not have spread without appealing to people. Would not it be the best way to control but through something that appeals to the masses? And what could be the consequences of this movement?
