Wow. This is a new one to me!  I am the first to admit that we don't know the true story of Jesus, or what exactly happened during the 1st century. That SOMETHING happened during these early centuries, I have NO doubt. Especially the amazing "Literary Genius" of the period that has left us with encoded texts from all over the anceint near east--and now we have a song in Japan.

But what exactly happened, and how it all came down, who can say for sure? But I will say that there are enough stories to verify that this was truly an extraordinary period of time.

i find it rather hard to believe such a claim. first off, if there is no official document then there is no way of proving that whoever wrote that "copy" didn't just make it up.

secondly, it is highly doubtful that jesus left his home area for any great length of time or people would not have recognized him as "the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon" (Mark 6:3) and become "offended at him".

and thirdly, it is INCREDIBLY hard to believe that after jesus spent three FULL years teaching in the open where EVERYONE could see him that it could have been someone else that was crucified, with not a single person, ESPECIALLY the pharasees and the chiefs of the law who were the ones who were following jesus' moves and plotting his death, noticing.

(please don't take offense t_kman, i'm just posting my views on it)

I had never heard of this document or theory until reading the Thiaoouba Prophecy a couple years ago, so I wonder if aside from that TP whether this "theory" has ever seen the light of day anywhere else.

And as for the TP itself (I just re-read it in the last few days) - I found it to be so riddled with inconsistencies and implausibilities that, in my mind at least, it cast doubt on everything it even referenced (such as this Japan thing).  I felt that the TP itself was the product of a well-meaning, but delusional mind.

Also, - remember recently that burial box that they found in Israel that they thought might have held the remains of Jesus' brother?  Experts and scientists descended upon it like ants at a picnic and made quick work in establishing it that it was a fraud (the inscription just put on the box in the last 20 years or so).  So, unless the keepers of this document are willing to expose it to scrutiny than it's hard to put much faith in their claims.  I could just as easily make up a story about Jesus visiting the North Pole.  I could release photos of Jesus riding a Polar bear and documents proving that he invented the igloo and I'll bet there would be a few conspiracy buffs that would belief it and bandy it around the internet.  So I'll wait before I jump on this Japan thing. In 1935, Kiyomaro Takeuchi discovered 1900 year old document stored in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, containing evidence, that Jesus (Joshua) born in Bethlehem to virgin Mary is buried in Herai Village in Aomori district of Japan. The document contained also Jesus will, requesting that his brother's tomb to be located next to his. The document was SO authentic and news so explosive at the time, that the Japanese government banned the document from public view and kept it locked in a museum in Tokyo. During World War II Tokyo was severely bombed and the museum with all documents was allegedly destroyed. Luckily, Takeuchi family made copies of the document before surrendering it to officials. Copies preserved by the Takeuchi family survived to this day.
Document depicted here is such a copy, photographed by Dr T.J.Chalko in a small museum in Shingo Village, formerly known as Herai, next to Jesus tomb. It was written originally in ancient Japanese and most people in modern Japan cannot read it. The ancient Takeuchi document has been translated to modern Japanese language. It is interesting to note that historians still argue about the authenticity of this document.    Note that any "material evidence" such as bones, teeth etc which could possibly be excavated from the grave – will clarify absolutely nothing about the identity and the spiritual magnitude of the person buried in Herai. Clearly more precise evidence is needed. Remainder of this article presents some of the most fascinating part of it. go here for the full story://http://www.thiaoouba.com/tomb.htm
