There are so many versions and translations of the Bible available presently that it is very confusing to decide which Bible to choose for personal use. The 3 erudite videos below can sort out the confusion for you. They show the sources of various Bibles, and how and why some changes and blatant omissions were made in modern day translations. I liked the audio bible that Zondervan published for NIV. It took me 5 months to get through it and document my understanding how it relates to OBEs and spirituality of this.

IMO, any bible that you feel comfortable with studying under christianity will suffice. Thou, I know there are slight differences in text - its all preference.

The bible has become the mind of Christian Religion.  There are many proselytes who go about recruting members and every bible tells them they are wrong for doing it.

Mat 23:15  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

How many bibles are not scribblings of words written by scribes? 

What is a Pharisee?  They are presented in the New Testament as zealous for the letter but not the spirit of the law, hypocritical, and enemies of Christianity.

How would a bible be an enemy of Chrisianity?

why not read them all and then decided which one you like best... or read the first book Genisis from all three books - decided what feels comfortable.

Like I said, the bible has become the mind of Christianity.  Pick up any bible and it says the same thing.  The bible has chosen us.
