My favorite meditation is from that site. I'm currently living in Iowa City, Iowa. I converted to Buddhism in 1989 and made it official in 1997 when it was finally possible to receive initiation.

Another place on the web which was particularly helpful (I'm on their last level, "Flowering Level 4"):

Both companies are based in Oregon.

Unfortunately, it is still not really clear what you are looking for. It is still too big of a topic.

I believe that a big topic such as religion deserves a big website, wouldn't you agree?  A website that describes world religions and religious topics from a balanced, all-opinions viewpoint, with fairness and accuracy?  Well, I have just the website for you, and it's a place I've visited from time-to-time for months for any question I have about religion:

http://www.religioustolerance.org/

It's a continuous work-in-progress that lists many topics and contains many religious website links.  It contains well over 2,000 menus and essays as a matter of fact, and the number keeps rising!  I hope you find it very useful, just as I have found it very useful!

P.S: It contains much on the spiritual beliefs and practices of America and Canada, but I'm not quite sure if it contains the information about meditation practices in America as a whole.  Use the search function and dig through the essays to see if it does contain what you seek!
I am 17 and currently a junior in high school.  "As an agnostic, I may not be religious, but I am still spiritual.  Action is my only prayer!"
