Did I do this right?

I'm not too good at AP stuff, but . . . well[?] I wrote this, and am wondering if I did it right or not:

For a moment, I believed what I was staring a distant light from the clock on my VCR. Strange, when you think about it, the way everything seemed to look to me, as colors were fading in and out from my view, and sounds were becoming words of nonsense in my mind. I don't know, maybe I'm just going crazy, imagining things that aren't real, or I have some sort of medical problem; or, maybe the fact really is that I am able to astral project.

Without much thought to what I was going to do at that moment, my eyes closed to watch the strange, distant light glowing before me. Then, something happened that had never happened before -- well, truthfully I had never really accomplished astral projection before. Time seemed to move almost realistically, yet seemed to be . . . distorted, somewhat. And a strange feeling pulsated throughout my body. The jumbled words seemed to disappate almost immediately.

But, then --

I'll stop there . . . any comments (not on the writing, but on the way things happened? I mean, is that plausible/possible?) Greatly appreciate it.
