Alone as a tree?

I gave a tree sight so it could see the earth its limbs and all its leaves
The ground was there before its sight as were its roots before its life
The tree gazed at the other trees with separate branches limbs and leaves
And noticed different shades and widths which gave each unique tree its niche

As the tree used its new pair of eyes it noticed unique shades and lives
A thousand trunks born from the earth each tree alone in death and birth
Blessed with its sight the tree felt cursed and prayed to have its gift reversed
Because it thought when one tree falls that other trees don't care at all

From this point the tree proclaimed that selfish trees should be ashamed
Because they stand alone and still as brothers fall and sisters wilt
They stand alone in sight and sound and never help the trees around
They live to watch each other fall and never seem to care at all

Before the tree gave up all hope and lost its will to thrive and cope
I bestowed it sight right the ground so it saw roots connecting down
The same roots that were there since birth into the ground unto the earth
The roots that stay vanished from sight but with the earth gave the tree life

The tree then saw its roots are one with fellow trees though separate trunks
And then it knew though separate leaves its roots belonged to fellow trees
And it then knew when one tree falls that every tree holds a slight pause
Because trees are one in death and birth connected by their roots and earth

The tree learned that along with sight comes the pledge to use it right
And not to judge based on what's seen because trees are not such selfish beings
Although sight would have them stand alone when eyes are closed each tree is home
Each tree alive unto the earth sharing its roots in death and birth

Humans are trees with different leaves
With differing shades of which each one perceives
And as sight has them think they're alone in the breeze
Their roots form the words of soft prayers on their knees.

a conditioning of the mind....

what if we conditioned our minds....
by ceasing to make judgments?
what if we saw things for what they were....
rather than what we want them to be in order to coincide with what we think we know?
what if rather than observing others and judging them....
by observing others we learn from them and judge ourselves?
perhaps through casting judgments on ourselves we will justify that case that no judgments should be cast at all....
because we really don't have that right.
and we may then learn not to judge....
and we may then accept each other for what we are.
i think we all feel the same way about the same things....
we just don't know it yet.

just one more way to help stop living lost in our own perceptions....

the next time you see something you'd like to hate or cast judgment on....
instead seal your lips with a smile and roll on by....
and place compassion where its due....
because we're all living just like you.

When I see a sunset, I see the past as the future
I see the rotation of the earth and all the angles of the wind
I notice lives unchanged and come to grips with all we are and all we are never meant to be
I see the false emptiness and overflowing joy of life
I see much more than the stars much more than the sky
I become the earth as it breathes through me
I learn that through our symbiotic coexistence we can thrive
I realize that all facts are fiction while the earth tells no lies
I see more in the world through believing in the world
I see sunsets solve quandaries, only brought about by our bodies
I see infinite constraints only bound by their conception
I wonder if you have ever really seen a sunset
If you were to look deep you would see yourself
You would see the world as the earth breathes through you
And you will see that you are the sun, the earth, and everything you've been looking for
By leaving your mind open, you may stumble upon doors that have been passed over
I understand that not many people will come to see a sunset in their current lives
have you ever seen a sunset?
