Moon and Sea

I wrote a Poem a while ago. It was partly inspired by a game and partly inspired by a story that I either heard or made up when I was a kid. It's about the moon and the sea falling in love, but never being able to reach each other.

Moon and Sea
Cosmic blankets descend upon Mother Earth.
Veiling her in indigo and deep blues.
Tiny souls speckle the velvet drapes
Giving rise to a luminous and glorious luster.

At the peak of the soil bellows out a howl.
An eerie chill of breath sweeps past.
Excitement stirs and ripples the still mirror
Swaying to the beck and call of devotion.

Falcate light draws and then pushes away.
Grainy shelves are pulled into the depths
Pleasure lines the two in a gravitational pull
Antagonizing each rhythm with lust.

Thus does inclination sway to draw near
Cursed the flames doomed to stay apart
Ever so bright and far into omission.
Contained by the limits of ones atmosphere.
