I'm a self-thaught typist. I'm not too sure with what you mean with 'touch typist', I reckon you mean what Dutch call 'typing blindly'. In that case: I'm a 'touch typist'. ^.^

I do not know how fast I type though, but my dad always tells me it's quite fast.

I'm a self-taught typist; first started typing when I was 5, yet I also used a remarkable typing tutor called Mario's typing Tutor. Bloody marvellous. Not only did it teach you typing skills, but it was fun too :o) Tell you what, if I can find it online, I will upload it online somewhere for all to download :O)

Greetings everyone,

I was wondering whether you people are self-taught typists, and if so what sort of speeds and accuracy can you achieve? Are there any touch typists among us?

For the benefit of those who wish to improve or even get to the touch typing stage, what PC typing tutors would you recommend?

I definitely believe that touch typing should be a core skill taught in schools these days with the importance of computers.

With best regards,

Adrian.
