where do you write?

I write in a journal..I don't trust stuff on my computer because I know my parents would just LOVE to steal all the crap I have on it to see what I do.  And even though they're in a book, I hide the books (One for standard, one dreams) way far away.  No way to find them.  So that's where I write, because I hafta hide my work.

Unlike timeless, I prefer to have sounds going on.  For example, I turn on some music I really like.  You probably are thinking is this not distracting well yes sometimes it is, but it helps me get into a groove no pun intended[].  I sometimes start to sing, but this helps to calm my mind allowing me to think more creatively and allows more ideas to pop into my mind.  I don't have anywhere that I prefer to work, but I am the type of person that develops, rearranges, and perfects my ideas away from the place where I write.  For me writing is the last step, and therefore I don't need anywhere specific to stimulate my mind when writing.

Does everyone here have a certain place they write?  Do you find you can only write in a room designated for that?  Do you type your stuff out on a computer or typewriter?

Even when I was doing writing for school assignments I could never find a place that felt comfortable writing in.  I was just curious if making out a room where you write and a ritual in a way helps the people here.
