loling because it was a joke. i thought we were all having some good fun until people started getting their panties in a bunch (summer, somerandom).

that's why i hate the internet sometimes. tone is just lost and then something that was meant to be humorous turns into something stupid. i guess it helps when people don't think they are "more enlightened than others".

interesting side note. when i was in 11th grade, me and a friend wrote "I am more enlightened than you" on our shirts in big permanent marker. i got expelled the next day. it's called spiritual pride and i got my comeuppance for being spiritually prideful.

Chill, personalreality. This is not about some being more enlightened than others. This is a fun contest inspired by a Buddhist event. There is no comeuppance here and people can be as spiritual as they want. No need to take things so seriously and no need to accuse anyone of "getting their pants in a bunch" either. The enlightened mind is compassionate and serene. There is only a sense of comeuppance when egos are bruised...

Take a look at Stookie's post as a good example of how I'm looking at these verses:

This has its own value. It is good because it is very honest. There is a story of wise monks discussing who is the most enlightened. Neither of them were enlightened. The one who was announced by their master as being "awake" was a monk who was very simple and did nothing but sweep the temple all day. This monk was laughed at by the rest. When he was declared enlightened the others were jealous and asked their master why. The master explained that while they were busy arguing about who was the most enlightened, the "simpleton" was busy sweeping not only the temple but the corners of his mind too...

I want people to write me a verse here. After three pages, the one that shows me deep understanding will be given the "Enlightened One of Astral Pulse" title. In fact, every three pages there will be an enlightened member. I think it will be a lot of fun. Hurry, hurry...

I want = "command"

people = "Individual conscious awareness's"

to write me a verse here = "Orders"

After three pages, the one that shows me... = "Individual consciousness' compliant will entertain the 'me' commander"

... shows me deep understanding will be given... = "reward" for compliance and...

...given the "Enlightened One of Astral Pulse" title. = "winner" implies "losers"

In fact, every three pages there will be an enlightened member. = 'don't worry losers, you get another chance to prove yourselves worthy...

I think it will be a lot of fun. = "Entertain I"

btw – I am not against 'games' as such, but have learned not to be distracted by any that involve winners and losers, even where 'no harm done dude' applies.
Rather my comments reflect how I filtered the data of the original post of this thread and came to the conclusion that I cannot play unless the 'rules' are slightly adjusted to accommodate.
As in, something along the lines of – "You can still contribute your verse even if you don't want to win any title" which signifies that it is not about one personalities interpretation of who you are in relation to them, or their quest for deep understanding.

Then again, having such a rule equates to just sharing your verse in the section already created for that purpose, for any whom might receive from it.

On a bigger playing field, such as the Astral Realm, there are many such games being played but they all add up to the same thing...distraction from what it is these distractions conceal.

So we learn to 'see through' the distractions, if we are able to.

We Are All Enlightened In The Heart Of Who We Really Are – ONE.

"Winners!" but with no 'losers' to compare with.

I am certain that you will have no deep understanding at the end of this process summerlander – you will just have more confirmation that individuals are so easily led down whatever garden path you want to lead them, which is no more or less a deep understanding than any other artist who practices such self bemusing games.

The question is, do you realise this (do it purposefully) or not (have no purpose...it is just what you do 'naturally')
