The Anaesthetic Robert Monroe used for a little while to facilitate OBEs. Anyone here used it? What did u experience? You can buy it on Amazon for $50.

The advice I give  to any one using any kind of drug is , know what you are doing . Its easy to hurt or kill your self . Its best to not use drugs . Its hard to know what is real while using drugs , even if they are the ones doctors use . I have never used it. I was once given ether  ( early 60s ) all I remember is its slight smell .

Are you sure it isn't just a book or books about the compound?
Pedant. Pedagogue. Prick.

At the time of his experiments, ether was widely used by the medical profession, and he probably had access to it because he was a responsible scientist.  But that doesn't mean that we should have access to it or try to use it without proper supervision.  It reminds me of Michael Jackson's death, for example.
Why?

If Robert Monroe used it , I dont believe he wrote about it in his 3 books . I see ether on amazon listed for lab and photo use .

I've read all three of his books multiple times...
I'm not the closest study, but I certainly don't remember him talking about using this.

I was given ether when they took out my tonsils . I think that was 1962 when I was 5 . It made me sick and I still remember its smell . I dont remember any thing else , just going to sleep and waking up later .  I dont remember any one else discussing it on any of the forums to have a o.b.e. Ketamine has been discussed a few times tho.

I had it in 65 around the same age as desert. I liked the smell and stayed awake for an exrended time.
A large dose of the stuff sent me off eventually and when I came back so many questions were asked on the dreams. I said little at the time as I didn't like the fuss being created. I did however see some black stick men type of beings and conversed with them for a while. I can't recall what was said but they seemed familiar, intelligent and not from around here...
This limited memory hasn't faded in all these years too. It's imprinted itself deeply.
There's far more where the eye can't see.

It's dangerous stuff and that is why hospitals use specialists (anesthesiologists) to deliver it. It is a very thin line between unconscious and ready for surgery and death.
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.
