Make sure the room is dark or dimly lit. Make sure you are comfortable (i've only tried it lying down but sitting down may work also)
1.RELAX
2.Adjust to the darkness
3.Close your eyes
4.Listen to that very faint high pitched sound that you can hear throughout the day. The one that everyone hears but pays no attention to.
5.Try to feel the sound, feel the frequency, melt into the sound being careful to stay awake.
Before you know it you will feel the vibrations. If anyone tries this reply on your success or if it didn't work or any varations you wish to make. By the way i used what is already known about vibrations and experimented with my environment in order to come up with this method. If my method is similar to anyone else's method please tell me and i will make sure this post is deleted. I don't want to tred on anyone else's terrain.

i think i have experienced these vibrations, i've been trying astral projection for a month or so now and
i think i'm getting close,

I was lying in my bed with my eyes CLOSED  i felt myself going light and after a short while i felt a whooshing going up and down my body, it got faster and stronger i then told myself to float and i felt myself lift i couldn't keep the whooshing going though and the floating feeling died, I opened my eyes i was still on my bed

How close am I :?

What happens to me is very similar to blue_fire's experience, but it occurs only about once a week.  I feel these "vibrations" but from what people explain, they do not seem the same.  Instead of floating, I feel like the entire earth is turning over on it's side very rapidly.  However, before I can do any exit technique it fades away.  Recently (past two months) I have just been letting this vibrational feeling consume me, but it still fades whether I acknowledge it or not.  I would love some advice, but it seems that from everything that I have read and attempted in the last three and half years, astral projection is just not possible for me...

If you have any ideas, please, share them...I want to have one of these experiences so badly, but I can't be doing this for another couple years...I've tried everything from subliminal tapes and brain wave generators, to relaxation techniques and most all of those mentioned on this forum.  Sorry to sound emo if I do (I don't like emo-ish stuff), but I'm close to giving up and believing these things you all speak aren't real; and no one wants that.

Thanks y'all for any comments

blue_fire

exactly i get a whooshing feeling that gets faster and faster and i feel as if i'm rotating i let it happen but it fades
and i feel normal again

:-P

So, anyone wanna help us?  I guess we sound like noobs...

Stookie

Keep in mind that PROJECTION is your goal - not floaty feelings, spinning, rocking, vibrations, sounds, etc. These things are interesting at first because they're new experiences and can be a signpost that you're on your way to a projection, but don't get hung up on them. You have to stay somewhat passive and get through them to actually projecting. These things are all common experiences, but are not necessary to project.

blue_fire

thanks stookie i didnt think about that :-D ....................lmao noobs :-P

this is exactly spot on what i do. i listen for that slight "ringing" that's always there, but we never pay attention to, and i just concentrate on that. then, i would like to say that it becomes louder, but i know that is not the case. the more aware i become of it the "louder" or more distinct it becomes and then you just start to feel like you melt into it et c'est tout.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. Perhaps some day you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

miss riddle

alright, about the vibrations.
i've always felt them, even when i am awake.
and i didn't know what they were, until i started practicing projection a few days ago.
(two, to be exact, lol)

but my question is, last night, i felt them, i made them stronger and stronger and stronger, and i seriously felt like i was holing on to an electric fence. i mean, it didn't hurt, but they were seriously intense. and i started hearing an air plane noise, but it wasn't that loud. but the vibrations were so bad i freaked and lost them.

was i close to leaving? i couldn't feel my body at all, besides the vibrations. i seemed to not have legs or arms or anything O_________-

i kept wishing myseslf down to my computer chair, and i felt liek i as almost rotating, but it kept sticking, or someting.

i donno.

but do the vibrations get that bad for anyone else?

blue_fire

i've heard that once the vibrations get very intense or summin people often hear a loud noise e.g a metal clang or whooshing somthing that is obviosly not there, this apparently happens when you are either rentering the body or very close

also i've heard that people can have vibrations so intense that they may pass out for a few seconds.

hope this helped
:-D

To comment blue_fire the passing out is true i also feel the vibrations during the day as a result of my experience with them and my sensitivity to them. I have passed out on one occassion from vibrations but i was ok. I'm not sure what was going on in my concious mind but i had a feeling of selflessness as if i just was not there where my body was anymore.

i have ADHD and have a hard time calming my mind but onetime i did before i even knew about the astral projection i heard it.It was so load i began to squirm in my bed to take my mind of it.but even now reading this i can hear the memory of that sound as clear as if i were asleep.

badgerbug89

I've never heard any sounds, but i used to get the hardcore vibrations before i knew astral projection existed, and i still do @ night if i try to project, but i never can. I can in the afternoons after a nap or in the mornings, but i don't feel vibrations @ times when i actually project.

And some people don't experience vibrations at all. I never have.  :-)

For some reasons it seems very few females experience the vibrations. My wife had one spontaneous OBE and said she never felt the vibrations. This is a curious phenomena for sure.
