Hi Berserk,

This is a thought provoking topic, and I'm sorry I hadn't seen it before. The NDE happened to my father in the early 90's, several years before he finally transitioned. It had a powerful and positive effect on him. There are a number of great books on NDE that also relate some incredible experiences people have had. The woman you encountered at the church wedding reception had this happen twice, which is quite life-changing, I would think.

Regarding your questions, there exists astral healers here in the physical realm. Another moderator here, Nita, is one. She can probably tell you what is involved, and she also has a website. From what I've read though, any healing is possible. Unless however, a person has chosen before incarnating, to experience a particular type of injury or illness in order to balance karma.

Very best,
Nick

If it were true, wouldn't it be all over the news?

The answer in a nutshell is 'no'. Historically, the mainstream media does not care to bother much with such things as Near Death Experiences. They are however true and well documented. There are a lot of good books, scientific studies, and the like. Some authors who have studied and written on NDE are: Raymond Moody, M.D.; Dr. Kenneth Ring, Melvin Morse, M.D. and Brian Weiss, M.D.. You might want to read some of the books these people have written.

Also, there are a number of websites devoted to the NDE including bit not limited to:

hmm...i'm interested in this healing center too.  Can it be used for other purposes besides healing real physical infirmities or no.  I'm not sure that the articles that Nick posted would include this healing chamber but I will look into the sites after i finish work today.  A most interesting experience this lady had ..that's for sure!

Many of us wrestle with the vexing question, "Are OBEs real or are they merely a type of lucid dream with some ESP mixed in?"  So we wonder about the potential for various types of OBE verification.  Well, a very unique verification was provided to a highly skeptical woman I recently encountered at a church wedding reception.

Phyllis had a PhD in medical research. Being exceptionally cerebral, she retreated from her emotions in times of crisis.  Her mother had recently died and she couldn't deal with this; so she didn't.  Then she experienced her own crisis, a serious auto accident that launched her into an NDE.  She found herself ascending to "a mall that wasn't really a mall," complete with a mall orchestra playing softly in the background.  It was a mall composed of white light.   Phyllis came to a table at which her deceased mother was seated.   When Phyllis sat down, her mother admonished her intensely, "YOU HAVEN'T COME TO TERMS WITH MY DEATH. YOUR DETACHED REACTION IS BLOCKING MY PROGRESS HERE!" The uncomfortable conversation was anything but the expected warm mother-daughter encounter.  Phyllis felt relief when she was able to return to her body.  She recovered fully from her injuries.

Not long after, she was back in the hospital to have surgery for a life-threatening illness.   As her condition worsened, she experienced her second NDE.  Back she returned to the mall in Paradise.  Once again, she joined her mother seated at a table.  Phyllis dreaded this contact because she had tried to forget about her mother's last NDE challenge.   The unearthly music played by the mall orchestra provided little comfort.  "YOU STLL HAVEN'T DEALT WITH MY PASSING! I WANT TO MAKE PROGRESS HERE!"  Then the mother did something very interesting.  She pointed to the table and declared, "YOU HAVE TO MAKE THIS DISAPPEAR!"  The table was apparently a part of elaborate thought structures that bound Mom to her daughter's problems.  I was shocked by her mother's claim because I had assumed that excessive grief--not detachment--inhibits the progress of our deceased loved ones.   Feeling very ashamed, a sulking Phyllis finally said, "WELL, I GUESS I'LL RETURN TO MY BODY NOW."

Her mother's reply was unexpected and startling, "NO, YOU'RE NOT READY TO RETURN YET.  YOU NEED TO GO WITH THESE PEOPLE."  Two men appeared and escorted her to "an elevator that wasn't really an elevator."  It was an elevator of white light.  They ascended to a Healing Center where she experienced a procedure that she couldn't understand.   When she was returned to her body, she was completely healed and didn't need her surgery!  She wondered, "What did they do to me and what can humanity learn from this?"  Can astral adepts visit this center and receive a healing for conditions that earthly doctors cannot treat?  I am fascinated by this question.
