Thought it was about time I came out of the closet and shared a few poems.  Please note that I'm not "trained" in poetry, and it's simply words flowing.  Hope you enjoy them.

Canada Geese

I keep watch on my goslings
One, two and three
Don't let them go too far
Don't let them go free

---ooo000oo---

I keep watch on my babies
One, three and two
I teach them survival
And to do what I do

---ooo000oo---

I keep watch on my children
Two, three and one
I'll do my utmost for them
Until they are gone

Full

So full of giving
Can't help but give

So full of feeling
Can't help but feel

So full of kinship
Can't help but love

So full of love
Can't help but smile

So full of happiness
Can't help but share it

Time Out

If we had the answers
To half the questions
We'd be twice as confused
As we were before

---ooo000ooo---

We're all searching for happiness
Hunting high and low
All we need do is STOP!
The happiness is inside us

---ooo000ooo---

Be still, be calm, just be
Sit silently with yourself alone
Enjoy your own company
Quieten your mind

---ooo000ooo---

The happiness will come
Of its own accord
In its purest form
It is part of you
It is You.

Very cool.

It did make me smile :)
If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done.

Those poems were wonderful Sarah. I loved them. You have a beautiful spirit.

Three more I've found:

Honky Tonk

When I come to Blagdon to rest
I swim, sleep and read books
But my especial favourite pastime
Is sharing my bread with the ducks

---ooo000ooo---

I know it's a simple gentle pursuit
Perhaps best not to admit, but shucks
Even if I'm skirting the onset of madness
I'll never stop feeding the ducks

---ooo000ooo---

You see, only special people – the elite
Share the delight, and here's the crux
You'll not have a clue what I'm on about
Unless you too have fed the ducks

Religion

I've been high, I've been low
I've been places I didn't want to go
I came to a crossroads in life
I was confused – I didn't know

---ooo000ooo---

It was hard, I had to make a choice
"Take the quiet road" – my voice
Which, with the benefit of hindsight
Has made me happy and I rejoice

---oooo000ooo---

I've found a foundation, my belief
Unshakeable faith, I'll keep it brief
Is in myself, the inner peace
I'm at one with me, a great relief

---ooo000ooo---

I now keep the best of company
Whenever I can, me with me
Happiness, love, joy and much more
But most of all, a true security

---ooo000ooo---

No-one can kill it or take it away
For it's in me 24 hours a day
It's the most precious gem I have
And whilst I'm around, it's here to stay

The music removes me
From myself
To my inner world
Just me, just me

---ooo000ooo--

The beauty of it
Enwraps me totally
I succumb
And float

---ooo000ooo---

Held up by sound
The only substance in the void
And me, and me
What peace
