Eleven people want to and that beats seven.     The fact that not everyone on this board voted does not matter.  They have had a chance and decided they didn't care one way or another and are allowing the majority to be their voice.  That's why there is a saying about politics, you can't complain if you didn't vote. 

Has Adrian been made aware of the poll?  Does he agree to take the karma system off if that is what the majority ruled they wanted?  I'm thinking he will, but not sure because he really seemed to like it, when him and I talked about it last.

I see that the new poster AlanRK (I think that is his nic)  is already at negative one on his karma.  That is the perfect example of why this stupid system should go down in flames.  It's obvious that someone has taken his personal opinions and used the smite button for merely not having the same opinion.  It's not like he was rude or anything. 

Come on folks, let's keep voting the karma system down until Adrian shows up again.

Is it really JUST that obvious though?  There could be any number of reasons for it.
I mean, just because "YOU" personally were not offended by something someone said... does not mean that other people weren't.
Also, I see no reason that you can't smite a person for not agreeing with them.  None at all.

On the other side of the coin, you can also applaud people with whom you agree on something.
