How much energy do people raise?

Hey! Welcome! I hope you DO spend all day in the forums, there's a lot to check out.

For me the NEW system was really easy as well. It's easy to see the evidence of what's going on, so don't think it's too good to be true... When you spend an evening raising energy and run a mile the next day, THEN you'll see that it's not too good to be true!

To begin with I had an on/off relationship with the NEW system based simply on the fact that I am lazy. Too lazy to do MENTAL workouts. But projecting was easier than the book made it seem... Well, to me, anyway, and if you're having an easy time with NEW I think it possible it'll be pretty easy for you too. Once I settled down and got serious I did NEW for half an hour a day at least, sometimes more if I was feeling determined. Took about 2 weeks before I got out. But, I know people who've followed the system and gotten out in as little as a week, so just try every night and see what happens!

Again, welcome to the forums!

energy development is what i do for entertainment.  i have four rats, a part time job and i go to college when it isn't summertime.  i also have a girlfriend that i see every weekend or so.  all of my free time is spent either doing meditation, reiki, or NEW (or some combination of the three).

Mr. Bruce reccommends that a half an hour of the full body circuit will give you very good results in the long term.  the energy raising can be a constant thing, once you get the sensation and energy movement down.

I'm glad to hear that.  I started to rise out of my body on the second night of practicing NEW, but snapped back in right away, so I guess I'm making progress :)

I think it will take awhile to work up to a half hour a day, but I'll aim for that.  Usually after 5 minutes or so, I end up in a pleasant, zoned-out state and I forget to be conscious.

I used to have rats, too.  They're such fun and intelligent little animals.  I miss mine.

I have trouble raising my energy as quickly as some of you note, but everyone is different. I've also been practicing kundalini yoga and THAT does give me energy up through the base chakras. I'm trying a combo with NEW and kundalini, but man, yoga is hard and i'm not limber. Plus, it ALL requires patience and repitition. I expect too much too fast, and that's just not how it works. Hell, people used to spend whole lifetimes trying to raise their fire serpent and never succeeded, but i think it is an easier process nowadays with the higher enlightenment ability of mankind.

Everyone is different.  Everyone has a specialty, something they excel at.  And everyone sucks at something.

I have been 'dabbling' for nearly 25 years.  Lets say I had a profound life experience recently, and am in the process of re-centering at the moment.

I can raise modest power nearly instantly.  Its a self technique, but I'm rapidly reading through this website.  I keep what works for me, but I never discard anything.  Things I could never do I can do easily now (age is a wonderful thing).  Raising a lot of power (say to project), takes a little longer,  depending on my frame of mind.  I have gotten into the habit of always having some on reserve, just in case [:D]

So, are you really raising power, or just mentally fooling yourself?  You should be able to tell fairly easily, using any number of techniques from virtually any discipline.  I suppose the real test is the first time you scare yourself silly with the effects!
There is a physical limitation upon how much light a human body can sustain. Interestingly, there is no limit on how much light a human vessel can generate. When fully enlightened you must instill your light in order to maintain its wisdom.

I've been practicing meditations and such since I was nine years old, so I might have an advantage on other people.  You're right, everyone is different.  We all have skills in different areas, and sometimes we make huge leaps in the space of a week or two.

I *think* I'm actually raising power, since what I feel is pretty similar to what the book describes.  And on rare occasions where it doesn't work, I certainly notice the difference (Robert Bruce is so right about heavy meals interefering with energy work!).  On occasion, it even feels a little creepy, like someone is touching me inside my skin!

food really doesn't affect me for some reason.  i could eat a whole pizza and go meditate for a half hour without any changes in energy movement.

Do you think antidepressants inadvertantly affect the energy body? I take paxil, but i want to wean off but not sure if i should. It helps with social anxiety...then again, spiritual/mind/body alignment woudl probably be even better...

I found that Paxil CR is a good way to physchically neuter yourself.  I couldn't center, couldn't project worth a dam, and no lucid dreams the 9 weeks I was on it.  I could barely remember 1 dream a night when on it.  I felt as if a heavy fog was under my Aura.  Nasty stuff!  Besides, its used to treat premature ejacualtion and that is a nsaty side affect!  I am a recovered depressive myself, so I'm not blowing smoke.

You can heal yourself, but first you need to find the underlying cause.  Why are you depressed is the real question.  I was depressed on and off for 25 years.  Why?  I was living a lie.  I was hiding my studies from my wife, denying my talents, and trying to be mundane.  That's not who I am.

I am always a wizard or power worker in my dreams, thats my mental self image.  Denying that just unbalances me badly I can't recover.  Not anymore, I'm out of my Metaphysical closet!!!

Yeah, and you've got three eyes freak! (just kidding)

I DO think i am going to stop taking it. I need to. I rarely remember my dreams, just snippets sometimes. I hadn't tied that to the medicine before. I'm really trying to find my higher purpose, i'm very close, and power up my energy body, magnetize the things i want in my life, and i feel that something is blocking me. I'm chopping out caffiene and alcohol with a two-handed axe, and paxil might be next to go. I think i'm a teacher and maybe a healer at heart, but that's just an educated guess. Time will tell.

Hello, I'm new to this forum.  I hardly know where to start because there are so many interesting forums, but I'll pick this one because it's most relevant.

I've been reading Astral Dynamics and I'm to the part about raising energy.  So far, this is all really easy for me.  I barely have to think about the various energy centers and they start tingling and giving me interesting sensations, and the energy seems to flow readily through my body.  I am encouraged, but I'm concerned that the tingling I feel isn't the real thing and that I'm being overconfident.  I mean, it's so easy.  Things are hardly ever this easy to accomplish!

I also wonder if people who successfully project raise energy this way on a daily basis and store it in their subnavel center like Mr. Bruce suggests.  How often should I be doing this?  Mr Bruce says in the book that I can do it as often as I like, but is there a minimum amount I should aim for?

Thanks!  I could spend all day in these forums.
