Good topic, I have been at this for 2 years now, my dry spells vary, there have been times when i had periods of obe that would go near one week, and every day i could exit 8 or more times, then some thing would happen, i would stay up to late, mess my sleep schedule or job interfered, sickness such as flu, how ever i do manage to pop one out every 5 days or so, or more 7, i seem to average this, even if they are not fully fledged, i still do manage to get out in ways, how ever, it seems to be one step forward, one back, 2 side ways etc, what annoys me is striving for consistency, one and more per day would be killer, but small steps, it isn't ability that stops me, but my body that some times does not want to cooperate with me, so some times i end  up wide awake tossing and turning, but dont get me wrong, i am not complaining..

Hi DC,I have been projecting since 1967 but only consistently since 1997..on average once every 6 weeks..within that parameter have gone  up to 4 months with nuthin' happenin'... very frustrating.//(I feel your pain as the saying goes.. In my experience I find that there is no substitute for meditating before sleep..especially raising energy to third eye..eg this week starting yesterday.. i have been determined to OBE in this following 7 day period ..so last night I did the work..not very successfully i may add and fell asleep before i intened to..but I had 5 dream recalls..one lucid where i was talking to folks about lucid dreams and OBE's and saying "Of course this is a lucid dream just now..)..(normally i progress into a fully consious OBE after such a lucid dream but woke up before this happened last night...so..annoying but encouraging...and I also find if you repeat "I will remain conscious" and /or "I will waken up every hour and remember the dream"  (some affirmation that suits you) this also helps..also VERY VERY important..keep a drwam, ucid dream, false awakening ,OBE diary..since 1997 i have kept this  reasonably well..it is AMAZING how many fascianting experiences i haveforgotten due to being LAZY!! and not noting down..Good Luck!

Sorry for "typos"..I thought I could correct before posting..Lazy! Lazy! Lazy!

As michael says, lazynes is a real killer, you realy got to punch it, but its good to be detached too, every one has them, they are no real big deal, since its our nature.

Michael and Manuel,

I appreciate your replies.

Michael,

I actually do keep a dream journal.  It gets spotty sometimes when I don't recall any dreams for a couple of days.  It is very entertaining to go back and read.  I'll just keep working at it.  I'm hooked now.

Hi All,

I am currently working through a dry spell.  My last OBE was just over 3 months ago.  I had my first one last September.  I went until January before I had another.  But starting in January, I had eight in 3 months with my last being in mid March.  Then poof, they are gone.

I was just wondering how long you experienced OBE/APers have gone between events and how often you may experience these dry spells.

thanks,

D.C.
