Confused ?Sleep walking

Hi smooth,
Sorry, I haven't personally found too much reading material on sleep walking. I've heard that it has to do with a malfunction in the sleep cycle. Maybe Lucidity Institute has something on the subject. I had a sister who sleep walked, but I never actually witnessed her doing it.I think that's a little strange, unless I just happened to be asleep at the same time, all the time! []

I had a sister that slept walked as well, very creepy looking..[}:)]

I have no idea of the medical side of it but did a google search and found tons of info on it.

My best friend in college would sleepwalk.  We were roommates for 2 years.  I was studying metaphysical things back then and tried and experiment.  One night he took his sheets off his bed and went upstairs and proceded to fold them.  I'm a light sleeper and heard him go up to the attic.  I followed him, then tried to direct his dream.  I told him to look at his feet, and he 'looked' down.  I told him he was dreaming, in a trance.  I then told him to "go home" and look at his newborn sister.  I asked her what color was her jumper?  He sort of stared, so I figured she was under a blanket?  I told him to look under the blanket and he bent over some more.  I asked again what color was her jumper?  Red.  Next day we called his mom, the jumper was red that night.....

Well i am very Confused by sleep walking. I dont even know how to ask this queston. How, why does this happen? My sister sleep walks somtimes and its kinda freaky to see(its like its not her, a differnt personality kinda). one time i was sleeping up stairs watching tv because my room was being painted and all of a sudden my sister walkes out and starts asking me questons and she walks to the family room and sites down in the dark(its weaird she was around 10 and she was scared of the dark). Her eyes were open but they were all white(her eyes were rolled back). but sumtimes her eyes are closed too.

Can some one explain sleep walking how this happens and y?
