How do you remain detatched?

Unfortunately I have yet to consciously project, so I'm not sure how much help I can be.

However, one way to be detached is to observe yourself, i.e. be the observer watching the observer.  Be conscious of your emotions as they come up, it will help you control them.  I know this sounds strange, but try it and you will see what I mean.  It is hard to do though.

Soulvibe,

I just had to practice and practice and once I got use to the feelings and goings on, it really wasn't that hard to stay neutral and focus on my goal of getting out of my physical.

The thing I noticed when first starting, was one day something new would come up, and it would freak me out, then I would get use to that sensation only to have another freaky sensation come along and mess me all up.[:P]  But soon enough, there were no new sensations that could happen, so I wasn't surprised anymore and could focus on, like I said, the main goal..[^]

Hope this helps.

Personally -

Most of my projections were completly by accident.

I would say 80% of them are when I am trying to sleep and my mind keeps nagging at me about something (work, money, women).

The other 20% come when I am in a dream state - dreams of flying with my friends over the city...to find out later that they had a dream of flying over the city with me on the same night.

As far as how "important" or "significant"...
I think OOBEs are a natural part of life, most people just never know it happens.

Reality

must......stay....AWARE...of...your...actions...! [:)]

Otherwise it quickly turns into some kind of advanced dream. With waking up as a result.

This comes from my little personal experience though.

Hi everyone, thanks very much for sharing.
I learned from each response.

This one spoke to me in particular, thanks Nay.

Hi folks,

A bit of a simple question though for me (and maybe others) it can also be a tough one.

I've had some Oobie experiences, mostly spontaneous and it wasn't until after these that I was able to understand the feeling a little more and practise it consciously.

It's the detatchment thing that gets me though, as soon as I feel that I am about to lift of so to speak I then find it tough to remove attention from the energetic goings on.[:o)]

This is my first post in the main forum here and I haven't searched the posts to see if this aspect has been addresses, I suppose it's a kind of Hiya too[:)]. Foregive the repeat if this is the case in this topic.

So how do you guys view this detatchment aspect?
Or is it so much a big deal in your own experiences?

Peace[:)]
