A long while back I would hang out in the chatroom each evening for a few weeks just waiting to see if anyone would actually show up. No one ever did. It is a hopeless cause. Maybe if you scheduled something people would show up.

I think having a regular scheduled time is good also. Maybe send a pm to everyone to let them know. I go to one on another site on Sunday nights and because its advertised a lot, there are usually five to fifteen people on it.

M'kay, I installed mIRC and now have a prescence in there 24/7. If it says Rastus_Away, then I'm not there. If it says Rastus then I'm there, but it may be minimized. The more you know about IRC, the easier it is to use it (well duh), it is NOT like Instant Messaging in some regards and is quite like it in others.

I'm usually on between 6 and 9 PM EDT time (that's -4 UTC).

I'v been going into this site's chat (the java one,not in the forum)
and no one is ever on in there,even when people are on in the forum!
I go into it at evenings and on special occasions on mornings too,at the +2 GMT timezone,and I haven't saw a single person but me in the chat...EVER.
why is that,may I ask?
are you all bound to the forum,so the chat remains forgotten?
