dark apprentice, i feel that try or attempting to gather energy from lightning is very deangerous in my oppinion.

1.its lightning
2.youll probably get struck
3.if you do manage to absorb energy from it, the amount of volts it gives off will most likely kill you from too much absorbstion.

thats all i can say.
i think you should maybe start with something like tvs or one of those electric ball things where you put your hand on it and they follow your hand.
Lightning should be out of the question lol

You pull energy from the storm, not the lightning.  Lightning is a side affect of the storms energy.  It's possible to direct lightning, but if you mess up, you can get struck (that means fried).  Even near misses (50-100 feet) can fry everything electrical around them.
There is a physical limitation upon how much light a human body can sustain. Interestingly, there is no limit on how much light a human vessel can generate. When fully enlightened you must instill your light in order to maintain its wisdom.

Not everyone gets fried by lightning [;)]
Try next time in a deep meditation to project yourself into a
thunderstorm, after that see yourself being hit by lightning,
all that energy going through you.

For me it made goosebumps all over my body and energized me
a LOT. [:D]
If we compare us to infinitely small,
that will make us infinitely big,
but if we compare
ourselves to infinitely
big, it will make us infinitely small.
What is our size again?

Rastus is right, you get the energy form the storm.  Without getting overly scientific what causes lightning is a buildup of energy fomr the storm.  Basically, as long as you're not putting yourself in the way of physical harm, you can absorb a good deal of energy not form the lightning, but hte gorund under a storm.  This is that shiver most get up their spine when they are walking on regular ground during a storm.  However, if the feeling gets too intense it's a sign that you're being turned into a pathway for the energy exchange between the ground and the storm (ie lightning rod) and should stop and run inside [:O].

It's best not to do this in the very midst of the storm but before it hits your location and after it has passed, as there are still energy residuals without a big threat to personal safety.  If, however, you are talking about going out and getting intentionally struck by lightning for the energy boost I would advise against that, as I'm pretty sure you have a good chance of dying or at least maimed[:P].

I do my lightning work from the (kind of) safety of my front porch and haven't gotten struck yet, so if you have on try that!

I can't comment on projecting into a storm because I can't project properly yet [:(]

But it's true that you can get a lot of energy from being around a storm.  I can now feel the energy just before a storm comes (handy if I don't want to get wet! lol), then I make the most of the storm energy by drawing it in.  So far I've done it mainly from the safety of inside my flat/apartment which is not on ground level (sometimes outside, but safely), so I don't think it matters too much where you are as the energy is all around you, in the air, from the ground, etc.

In fact, as you start training your body to draw in energy, you should find that you don't need to really think about it, your body will start to draw the energy automatically, although you can draw more when you focus on it.  You only have to teach your body what to do, then it will start doing it naturally.

You say you have been doing energy work for a few months now - are you using NEW?  The technique to use if you are is Direct Sub-Naval Energy Raising - the one where you draw energy from your legs and arms together into the sub-naval (you'll probably find it comes in from every part of your body).

The main thing is to stay safe [;)]  Your body will draw energy from the storm wherever you are [:)]

Yeah I have been doing NEW for a few months. Now do you mean direct the energy from the storm to my navel area????? Could you some how harm yourself by doing that????

Yeah, i do draw energy from the earth all the time even without trying. But don't draw too much of the Earth's energy. We havre a limited supply

Not exactly.  I don't focus on drawing the storm energy as such, I just do the Direct Sub-Naval Energy Raising (I find it comes through everywhere, not just from arms & legs) - I found that when I do that and there is a storm, there is a lot more energy available to draw.

If you get used to doing Direct Sub-Naval Energy Raising, then do it when there is a storm, you'll find the energy you draw is much stronger.  You don't need to think about drawing the energy from the lightning or the storm directly, it's just there in the air and everything around you.

It's possible you could harm yourself if you tried to draw directly from the storm, it's not something I've done.  I don't know the answer to that but I think unless you have a strongly developed energy body it could well be dangerous, so it might be best not to focus on the storm itself, just carry on drawing energy from all around you, the same way you usually do, without really thinking about it! This thread was fresh in my mind last Saturday evening when we had storms passing through.  Fairly mild, but enough to generate lightning.

Wow, barefoot in the yard is a wonderful way to do this(from a safe part of the yard).  No real lightning in the area, maybe 5-10 miles away, but enough to see it.  Seriously pinging with energy.

I could 'reach' the storm a litte later in the evening from inside the house.  I tried during meditation in the late evening, but I couldn't reach.  I tried for a few minutes, but it was real faint.  Duh.  The storms had moved on and the moon was out, must have been 50-100 miles away by then [:I]

Yeah, i would think if you tried to absorb lightni ng froma close distance then that probaly wouldnt be such a good Idea. I'd assume the energy would overwhelme your body unless you took the energy from the storm its' self and not the lightning directly.

Is it a danger to absorbe energy from lighting??? If we absorb to much lighting energy could this cause harm to our bodies or could we possible get struck???

And for advanced people in energy work(witch ii am not), if it is possible to absorb great amounts of energy from lightning and it is realativly safe, what age or stage in development should we start??

These are probaly dumb questions but I've only been doing energy work for about 2-3 months and just wanna know the dangers and causes of everything.
