As you correctly surmised, this cannot be anything associated with the Astral Pulse. It sounds to me as if you have trojans infecrting your PC.

I suggest that you run your anti-trojan programs such as Spybot, but I would also recommend Ad-aware:

Things that you must have in your PC:
-an antivirus (Panda its good and not so memory-use like Norton)

-2 antispyware: Ad aware its one of them the other i must search (i only have one antispyyet[])

-a good firewall: i love Zone Alarm

Hi all,
I do run Ad-Aware SE and have both the AVG and Spybot S&D Resident Firewalls.  The hijacker is gone from my system.  I figured it came in through some other connection, just wanted you guys to know about it.
