energy is everywhere, even solid matter (which isn't solid, it's just vibration) thrives on energy, hence you can drain anything you like, but watch out for people, you can suck them dry
imagine it just flowing into you from your surroundings, or choose a source - earth, sun, stars, air etc..

it makes no sense at all!

daem0n,

Jenia_San:

I think you've got an endorphin rush. That often happens with excessive training, nothing extraordinary. That is a survival mechanism, afaik.

runlola:

"I have read of those stories where people can suddenly lift a truck
in order to rescue someone under it."

As far as I know that's an urban legend. I once made a google search, but couldn't find any evidence (news articles etc.) for this.
I don't do much, and I do it well.

Veccolo

Well, it is said every legend has some basis in fact, so there might be some truth to it.

"Jenia_sama is kind of not human btw"

I see.

Hi Jenia_San,

When people start becoming aware of the mystical, the supernatural, or the spirit world, it can suddenly open up a whole new world of explanations for odd things to them.

People hear about demons or negs (depending on their beliefs) then suddenly everything from the nightmare and bad stomach ache they had in the middle of the night to the depression their best friend is suffering is the result of demons or negs.

They forget to consider that maybey they ate just a but too much spicy food before they went to bed, or their best friend's parents might be about to split up, or they've suffered a virus that's left their brain chemistry, their seratonin levels, out of balance.

Look to the natural before looking beyond the natural.

I'm familiar with the effect you're speaking of from the days when I used to race mountain bikes. My friends and I would go for training rides early Sunday morning. Part way into the ride was a very hard climb up a 6km long steep hill. I'd get 3/4 of the way up that hill, pushing so hard I felt like I was completely out of breath and ready to throw up. I'd feel like I was not going to make it, then something would switch on inside me. It was almost like going into a trance - I was somehow separated from the real world, I'd get a rush of energy to my legs and power up the last 1/4 of that hill.

Once on top, I felt invincible! We'd start joking around, jumping gutters, benches and any other object that you could have fun with if you had a good enough mountain bike and were silly enough to try and break it. We'd fool around like we'd just started the ride, not like we were 30km into a 120km ride and had just climbed one mother of a hill!

It is as others here have said - endorphines, one of the "happy" chemicals in the brain, and adrenalin, which has been known to give people so much strength, there have been recorded incidents where a frantic mother, after a car crash, has lifted the car off her trapped child.

Our natural physical bodies are capable of some really increadible stuff!

Kind regards,
James.

P.S.
Keep doing pull-ups like that and you won't be physically very weak for long! [;)]
Also, be careful about those signals your body gives you. They're there for a reason. If that kind of thing happens again, get some protien and carbohydrates into you after. The carbos will replace the energy you've used up, and the protien will help repair any possible muscle damage.
[:)]

Jenia_San

James S,
I never denied that it was something physical.
I simply doubted it.
also, what you described with the mountain bike incident was nothing like what I felt...
it's like my soul is being torn apart, burned down into power filled with hatred...however I did not feel angry OR hyper,or anything like that. so I was sure it wasn't andrenalin.
I might edit this post some more later to add things...unless you post more before that ;)

P.S.
heh heh, that's the thing,I never have time to exircize anything but my finges(typing&pencil-using) and certain portions of my arm(I do a daily 60 pull ups...30 morning 30 evening ;) )
also,
I can simply ignore them if I want to,as in,where most people would sceam in pain,I would be able to ignore all pain and remain calm.
this is also usefull to block things like anger or sadness ;)

This week i was riding in bike, near the river that it is near my home.

I love to d oit, but this week was very special.

Normally, due to my physical body, that it is very week, i will get tired very quickly, but this time something diferent happened.

In the begining of my ride my mind was very calm, lucid and opened. It was like if a fresh wind passed through my  spirit. I felt my self like the wind, or maybe like a child.

Every single leaf, flower, tree, wave or cloud was beautiful, an amazing traseure to my eyes. I was stunished with such beauty.

Suddenly i felt myself able to ride all the 24km at high speed and no feeling tired. I just wanted to feel like the wind and become one with all the beauty around me. Even when in some moments i could feel tires, i just thought "No, i one breath this nature, my tiredness it is just part of something good. It means that i am becoming healthy because i am making physical exercise".

I mean, the fact of changing my mental atitude, as make me become much more stonger. That strenght was so big that even 2 days after i am feeling it.

When you become tired just think in being the wind. It will work![;)]
I love you!

Rob

Hey!!

The thing with mother who have to lifting cars etc - I think the same thing has been known to happen with insane people, also people suffering possession are made to be many many times stronger than they "should" be (eg children requiring 4 grown men to hold them down etc being a well known thang).
Personally I think that it has something to do with the body only using a certain amount of its potential strength, ie running at 100% is potentially very damaging to the body. Could be wrong but it makes some sense.
However, chimps and other primates seem to be considerably stronger than humans, even given that they might weigh in at the same amount. Also, grasshoppers and suchlike have muscles that are orders of magnitude more powerful than ours in terms of power to weight ratio (I read once that scaled up to our size, a human grasshopper would be able to clear the Eiffel tower [:P]). Seems a bit unfair to me!!!! Perhaps it has to do with humanity evolving their brains to the detriment of the muscular abilities. Or perhaps its something which is intricately related to the precise mechanism through which humanity has evolved (or perhaps "evolved"!) - I'm thinking along the lines of interventionism here by the way [:D][:D][:D].

From a more down to earth perspective, leaving the hows and whys aside for now, you probably were able to achieve this state by, as you said, ignoring your body screaming at you. Willpower can do some incredible things! Naturally, the subconscious mind plays a crucial role in all this.

YES [:D] that was my main theory.

I was doing pull-ups(or whatever that thing is called, exuse my bad english)today at school, when something strange happened.
I'm VERY WEAK physically(exept my fingers...and a certain portion of the arms).
while doing the test,I lost most of my energy when I reached 20,and by 23 I was exhousted.
but I kept trying, like I always do. I learn to ignore most body "signals" when I need to. usually a few moments after that point,my body stops responding,as in I'm trying to get up,but nothing happens. as if I am suddenly disabled or something.
but,this time...
My body seemed to "go wild" instead, and I started doing the push-ups in a crazy speed (I still felt exhousted).
it got very powerfull in a matter of seconds, that the seat my legs where cought in(if having my legs under a heavy seat doesn't make sense when doing push-ups,then this isn't push-ups)was practically broken in 2...
THAT WAS A FRIGGIN' COLD HARD STEEL SEAT!!!
after that I quickly stopped and got up (the exhoustion seemed to hame mostly disappeared) and took a look at the floor. my push ups left marks[:O][:I].
Now here is the quetion:
WHERE THE HELL DID THAT POWER COME FROM!?!!(and how?)

P.S.No,I don't have to pay for anything [^] only I and my teacher were there, and even she admits that no one will believe her if she says I left those marks(or broke that seat [xx(]) so she will just have the manager pay for the repairs.
