I dream of disastrous events, including tidal waves, tornadoes, earthquakes, Volcanoes, plane/helicoptor,train,car crashes, but I never feel like they are on a global scale. They always feel close to home.

Must be unnerving to have a dream thats as encompassing as those.
"Doohicky" "thingie", "thingamajigger" and "what'sit" are all commonly accepted engineering terms these days. Impress your boss and use more than one in a sentance... Major brownie points!

Much time before th 9/11 i had many dreams about planes falling down near my home, crashing. In other dreams the guys inside the planes were terrorists!

Thanks brisck because if you didnt spoke about that i would never make the association....strange isnt it?!

Well, besides that there were a time in wich i had many apolyptical dreams: i would dream about seing the earth burning in great fires, with tornados, wars and many disasters. Sometimes i would see Jesus coming to the Earth.

In many other dreams that i had, i would see UFOs flying above the earth and causing destruction, but i must say that i had many non-apocalyptical dreams in wich ufos were neither bad neither friendly....just a mystery.

Its a long time that i dont have those kind of dreams but in my last one i was in the middle of a grass field at night and there were thousands and thousands of ufos around the fields destroying everything with fire.

Oh, i forget that recently i had a kind of prophetic dream. Just search for a thread called "Ancient building much more older than humans". It is between pages 1 to 3 of "dreams" forum, here in the Astral Pulse.

TO be honest, maybe my dreams are not prophetic. I dont believe that we are gonna have the earth on fire or ufos destroying everything.

I love you!

I have also had one UFO dreams which was so vivid that I still remeber it with great detail, even today.

I was in a high rise building looking over what seemsed to be a big city like NY at night. it was dark in the room I was in, illuminated by the city lights and I could see into the night sky clearly out of the window.

At first it was beautiful and I was taking in the view. Then suddenly something caught my eye in the sky, I thought it was a star at first and then it started to get bigger. Suddenly I remember the mood changing completely as I realised this was a UFO, and somehow knew it was coming for ME! I saw them come in low across the city as if searching for me.

I hid in the window and didnt dare look to see if they were any closer, so I waited a while to see if they would go away. After a short while i popped my head up to see if they had gone only to find them right outside the window about 30 meters above and away from the building but close enough to know they had found me!

I closed the curtains hoping somehow to block them out, crouching in the corner of the room I could hear the sound of dozens of scuttling footsteps in the dull moonlight of the room, and the fear grew more intense. I somehow knew that I had locked my door to the apartment and just sat there starring at the door.

Suddenly the footsteps stop and I see the lock on the inside of my room (lock that u slide across) slowly move accross and  open on its own. The door flew open violently and I see about 10 of those lil grey aliens standing there. They move so fast that suddenly they are all around me lifting me into the air and it like im crow surfing. They move me so fast and I know they are taking me away.

Thats where the dream ended. When I woke up It took me a while to realise where and , WHO I was as it was so real I thought i was still this guy in the apartment!

i once had an appocaliptic dream. it started, when i met an alien, who was smaller then us, but not neccesarily mean. kinda indifferent really. then my cousin through a football and it hit the alien in the head [:O] after that the alien dissapered. after that, the news came on and said the world was gonna end, it was very traumatic really, for the people in the dream. then we were all crying and stuff. then, that night, a planet, just like our own but opposite, was headed straight for earth, as it approached your could see like an energy pulling these planets together, like a magnet. then these creatures started that looked like giant worms or like sand worms from dune started transfering to our planet eating everyone up. i just stared out my front door in horrer. then i saw one comming strait for me, and i knew what i had to do. i stepped out, looked directly into his mouth (which is going to be my doom) and waited. at this point i became lucid and aware of my surroundings being a dream, but stayed still, knowing that no harm would be done to me. so i got eaten and woke up. thats the only end of the world dream ive ever had.

I've had 5 tornado dreams this year, each featuring a devastating number of them. However, I'm in Idaho and haven't seen even a funnel cloud this year, so I'm starting to think I'm not very prophetic, or at least, I should be in the tornado part of the world. [:D]

On the other hand, I dreamt that I was beheaded. While this is a personal kind of thing, I was actually able to carry it around and put it back on as needed. [:D]

I've had many dreams of huge nuclear explosions, end-of-the-world style. Very vivid, very disturbing.

This dream is from 10+ years ago.

Scene 1:
I was in a major American city (Los Angeles ?). The year was 2009/2010.
I wandered the streets, wondering where everyone was. Not a soul was to be seen, and the entire city seemed dead. No life anywhere. A very bleak environment with no colors.

Scene 2:
I was in a building with lots of glass windows, and a clear view of a star-speckled sky.
I said goodbye, to a few persons I knew (in the dream). And then I transformed myself to a blue light, and disappeared.

I did not see some catastrophic event happen, but I did see what remained. This is one of the very few old dreams that I still remember.

Very interesting dreams, brisck1, thanks for sharing !

The most vivid dream I can remember is as follows:
I am is a big city, it is dark and everything has a greyish tint to it. I'm standing with some people I know on a sidewalk, just talking not doing much. Suddenly this pink laser beam sort of thing shoots out and kills one of my friends. I look around and everyone is running around being killed by these beams of pink light. In my dream I was crying and really scared so one of my friends (i think it could have been someone else) grabbed me a jumped onto a cart heading out of town. Just as we were about to pass under a tunnel on the way out one of the beams killed us. Suddenly I was on the street again and nothing had happened. I said to my friends "No not again!" It was like I had had a vision of the future. So I yelled to everyone to get out but the only people who listened were my parents and friends. As we started to leave everything started to happen as I had seen it before. (I could go into more detail now but it would be too long) So once we got out my parents said I had to travel back in time to stop this little girl, fullfill some destiny and ultamitaly save the world. So I went back in time did what I was supposed to do and came back to the future. Then a war in the skies started, it was a light against dark kind of thing. in the end the dark won.
Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.

Hi I thought id start this thread after having another one of my regular apocapyptic dreams.

I dont know why but for a very long time now I have been having really vivid dreams of terrible things happening. The first is always a huge tidal wave! larger than you can imagine, as tall as the twin towers used to be, probably bigger. Its always a perfect day, sun shining clear skys, and im out enjoying the weather by a harbour of some sort (HK or japan i think).

Then I hear someone shouting, then many more, people start running and screaming in obvious panic and i turn to see this inescapeable tidal wave so huge that I just stand there, knowing there is nothing i can do, no escape. It comes in so fast and the dream continues right up to the point where I can feel the water hit me then the dream ends. Sometimes its in slightly different locations and I get the impression this is some kind of global event, and the wave is always the same size and the impending doom is always the same.

The second dream is always quick, shocking and just as real. In this dream it always happens in familiar places near me, like a relative or freinds house or in my own home. I'll be just relaxing or watchin TV or sometimes sleeping(strange for a dream) and then I will feel a rumbling, and some low noise like loud bass. I go to look outside and I can see the horizon glowing red, then within seconds I watch as a wall of fire races from the distanceI wake up a split second after the force hits me.

Strange huh? I think I have these dreams at least once a week, they used to be less but in the last few years they have gradually got more frequent and I feel I should post them to get them off my mind!

I'd love to hear if anyone else has dream of events like this?
:)

That is so strange that you should mention massive sand worms. I was reading something a few months ago from some abductee who said that she was taken aboard a craft and was watching people being thrown into the mouths of large sandworms. She was apparently told by her abductors that they were actually 'us' but in an alternate reality; used to show the multiple faceted aspect of our being.

But I was also reminded of the worms eating people in Star Wars (can't remember which episode).

I've also had a very vivid dream of feeling my skin being burnt off during a nuclear explosion and a comet impacting.

The comet dream was most frightening. I was stood in the kitchen looking out of the patio doors and I could feel a rumbling increasing. I then heard what a plane would sound like passing low overhead, at incredible speed and for a second, I glimpsed a bright red fireball. I then heard a massive explosion and could see the trees/houses/roads etc. in the distance being thrown (like a tidal wave) towards my face. It then hit me and I felt myself being flung a couple of hundred metres and then landing. My skin (although it wasn't pain, it was more like the fizzy/shivering feeling that you get down your spine but unusually intense!) was being burned off and it was so weird - I could almost feel myself trying to seperate from my body. I was saying to myself over and over: please, let me die NOW! All the while there was a lot of commotion around me. I then awoke in a panic! I really think I had a physical reaction to my dream.

The second was quite similar: I was lying in bed (which is under the window) and I suddenly saw a bright flash of brilliant white light, a roaring sound and just remember seeing the whole wall in front of me at the bottom of the bed get ripped off with incredible force. My hands were in the air and I felt like I was turning to stone. Again, my physical reaction was complete paralysis. I think at this point, I was phasing in and out of the dream-state and into 'reality'. But what was really frightening, was that half of my dream was super-imposed over what I was really seeing for a couple of seconds; I must have had my eyes half open or something.

Also, for a split second, I felt like I was in an egyptian pyramid???

Luckily, I've only had these two. I've also had the alien mothership dream of seeing the nightsky being swept over by a gigantic black object and the stars disappearing. Then one by one, thousands of white lights get turned on. I went downstairs and opened the front door and could see this mothership stretching for miles in every distance! It was very Independence Day!

Well, thought I'd bump this thread from page 8 because I had an interesting one last night!

I've been making some good progress with certain obstacles recently, observing egos and stopping them from taking hold.  My dreams recently have indicated progress too.

Then last night in a dream, a load of people I know and myself were in a large viewing area, looking out over the sea.  The sky was an interesting green colour.

We were here to witness an atomic blast!  Yes, within a few minutes the blast happened.  All I can say about it is *WOW*.  Really clear, fantastic explosion.  Better than any film at least!

The very interesting point is that this certainly wasn't the type of 'disaster' dream I've had in the past - the atmosphere was celebratory, everybody was just there to have a blast (pun intended!).

I know an atomic blast doesn't sound like a very good thing, but I'm sure it wasn't *that* much of a bad sign, it might even have been a good sign to some degree.  Maybe something negative inside me has been destroyed, or maybe it means something totally obscure, who knows.

Oh and I might as well ask - what do you think dogs represent?  There was a nice black labrador in my dream last night, I felt it was a good sign but not exactly sure what it meant.

Anyways, happy dreaming folks ;)

I've had dreams somewhat like those dreams except less apocalyptic and I never got killed or hurt. In some of them I would be driving (I won't have a drivers license for 3 years!) and I would be trying to get away from a tornado and all my friends were there and as we escaped the tornado, we would celebrate getting away, then the dream would end. Or a dream (this was when I was about 7 or 8) where my cousins, my aunt, my mom, and I where in terrible storm (thunderstorm) and we could find our car(s) and practically we were in tears because of that. Finally, I've had a dream where there was another terrible tstorm and my family was outside without worry of anything, and there was no rain. These aren't apocalyptic, but they have to do with weather acting and affecting my family weirdly (as if there is no worry of injury or death).
Do we really think our own thoughts, or the are the thoughts that we have others thoughts sliped to us?

This is a great dream analysis. I hope your right. My son had a similar dream a couple nights ago. It had to get worse before it got better for him.

Natural storms compared to man-made disasters perhaps?

Apocalyptic dreams, huh? I can't say i've had any that i recall, i just wanted to pass along a few comments. I wonder if these dreams are tapping into a larger universal fear of annihilation, sort of a global fear. Massive tidal waves, nuclear holocaust, alien motherships, sand worms and human snacks: these sound like what the group consciousness might come up with, as it is decidely fear-based. In some aspects wiping out people IS considered a good thing by Divine Providence, although it can seem pretty terrible from our earthly perspective.
If but we knew the power of our thoughts we would guard them more closely.

Delete this, Major Tom. I will not have any more of my posts removed due to their rebuttal of admittedly anti-Semitic Illuminatists, who have have been referred to with quotes and specific bibliographical information.

To date I've actually had two very brief apocalyptic dreams, both very vivid.

dream one:  I had woke up in my room to see the sunrise, only I saw the sun along with planet x rising in the morning light through my roof-window.  I then promptly woke up.

dream two:  I had this dream this morning.  It was also brief.  I managed, a long with a few other people, to recover this rocket like cylinder with pictures of children and "poison" written across the top.  It also had the name of the chemical, which I unfortunately forgot.  Apparently in my dream we were going to leave the planet in spaceships and then poison everyone on the ships.  I don't know why I was leaving- I remember wondering to myself why we were leaving, like I was watching a movie.

I doubt that either of these mean anything significant[/i]
as below, so above
