My sister saw it and said it was very boring. Even more boring than the redo. I haven't seen it myself though.

it was a very scary movie.  I think a lot of people who didnt like it just didnt like the ending.  Or theyre looking for gore and blood or something.

A guy at the office suggested the movie so I saw it last year. It was definitely unsettling and spooky. (Can we please put that little girl back in the well?)

Incredibly overrated in my opinion, although I did like the ending, very much.

I never thought I'd see the day, but the Hollywood remake was far superior.  Still not scary, though.

I think that most people nowdays are just so much used to violent/horror movies that it just does not have much impact anymore.

The Ring reminded me of Blair Witch Project...  Far better (not difficult[]), but still soso low budget.  A bit like when you go in the "haunted train" at the fair and a guy disguised in a skeleton jump in front of you and shout "BooooBoooo"... []

But, as I said above, I saw so many horror/gory/spooky movies that I am just "bored" a little...

Now, what I want to see is Scary Movie 3!  Supposed to be way better (not difficult[]) than the first and second, and there is a parody of The Ring in it... [|)]

I got "ring 2" on ebay recently....Its not so great. There are some pretty scary / unsettling moments in it too, but most of it is pretty 2nd rate.


Has anyone seen "dark water" by the same director ?

Got this film in the post last night - its the original Japanese version, w/ subtitles.

If you like scary films, try and see it... It is probably the scariest I've ever watched !!!
