Though I have not used the rope technique it is may understanding that you are suppose to keep your body relaxed and let your awareness climb the rope. That is part of the technique, teaching you to keep your physical body relaxed while you get use to moving your awareness outside the body.

You are not necessarily suppose to fall half asleep. You are suppose to put your body to sleep and keep your mind awake. Though you can allow yourself to drift and just before your mind goes to sleep jerk it back awake. This way allows the separation process to happen naturally as if you are going to sleep. If you do it right after a few times you can wake yourself up in your astral body instead of your physical. The trick is 1) to not let your mind slip over into sleep and 2) not wake your physical body up, just your mind. Is this something along the lines of what you are doing?
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Yes I suppose so: the vibrations come naturaly, I'm sure of that, but in order to have them come I have to blank out for a short time... I would prefer being able to let them occur without blancking out! That's why I tried the rope technique... but it seems (whatever method I use, and even if I get vibrations) like I'm unable to get my body so asleep as for it to be paralysed, that's a shame! I have two different concepts for my mental side: awareness, which would be the level of mind-sleep, and space conciousness, that is the point, sphere or whatever where I'm focusing to. But for the rope I use this conciousness, and this conciousness needs me to be more aware than when I let all myself go... I don't know if I make myself understood, but it's really a problem right now!

May I suggest that you do what works until you have become accustomed to the exit as it happens now.
A continuous flow of event while separating is rare and not necessary if you can recal the experience.
Also the age old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" hold for the spiritual matters as well. ROPE is only one method among several dozen that can help people achive a projection. It doesn't work for me, at least not at the moment.

If you wish to pursue the ROPE try doing it unti, the visualization becomes a second nature so that you don't have to be as aware of doing it as you are now. That way you can start the ROPE method ans still be able to allow your mind to sink into a trance that seems to work for you at the moment.

Be patient as any method takes time to master and sometimes the semi-spontaneous projections can lead one to believe the methodical way of doing it doesn't work.

acually a part of me was humming this at my ear
thanx jilola, for you say it loud!

by the way, according to the description of deep trance by robert bruce, I assume I god my vibrations from light transe... is that a problem?

TorosDead

Robert Bruce describes the sensations of the trance state quite vividly, you should read that section.  As for the rope technique, I can see how it would cause tension, because climbing a rope uses muslces.  You must remember that you are not using your bodily muscles however, it's the feeling of being pulled up, not the feeling of using muscles that you should concentrate on.

I just tested the method from the treatise by robert bruce...

Can somebody tell me here how can one fall half asleep (because that's where the vibrations came for me) While being imagining they are climbing a rope!!! When I imagine that I stay rather tense... so I really wonder if even transe has come.

What does transe feel like?

I never been paralysed but felt the vibrations, anything wrong with what I do?
