Testing the Pendulum :)

Hi Wantsumrice, a group of us were taught to firstly test for yes/no questions.  I asked it if I was a male, since I am and the answer should be a yes. Then I asked if I am female, and got the opposite response.  So the yes/no responses were sorted.  

Then we were asked to be mindful of our thoughts and especially the alternating energy pattern we humans have.  Our teacher told us that we can work out the rythms by paying attention to which side of our nose we were breathing through, as it changes at regular intervals along with our energy alternating posiive/negative.  After some practice with this we were able to work out how to get answers from the pendulum that would not be opposed to truth.

Other than that, we have only used pendulums to douse the chakras when working with peoples health/beliefs and to get a clearer picture on what they were working on at a sub-conscious level.

If i understood your question (which indeed has been explained many times) testing with the pendulum and not the pendulum means that we should not ask questions TO check the pendulum's intelligene but instead ask genuine questions that we have and ask as many of them as possible in order to get a CLEAR picture of what's going on.
Mayatnik said not to take everything the pendulum says for granted, but instead ask more questions, and more til the picture we get is complete and makes sense to us...
As for testing your guide , well the way i see it, if i had a friend and he asked me questions like, erm... 2+2 is 5 to check if i was intelligent, i think i would be rather angered. When i want to ask stupid questions i usually explain my reasons to the pendulum and i usually get the answer i expect.
But don't be angry if the pendulum deliberately gives wrong answers!

See Malvina.. you would get angry and wouldn`t say anything.. I would laugh and say 2+2=5.. another person would say yes - just for the fun of it.. So it all depends on everyones personality.

In my opinion - this guides have their own personalities - but why i don`t get it is why would they respond like humans ? They are more intelligent
And second.. Is different to ask a human if 2+2=4 and a pendulum...
you are testing the pendulum not the guide !!

The Bringers of the Dawn from what i understand says that by helping us evolve, Pleadians are evolving too...so they learn from teaching us just like a mother can learn from her children...

My theory is that they have to talk down to us in a way we can understand, so they respond like humans. Since you agree that they are more intelligent and more evolved, perhaps our mental development would be unable to get their logic. Perhaps by giving us deliberately wrong awnesrs when we ask stupid questions, they are "tricking" us into changing our approach, since we humans tend to learn by trial and error. Just like kids are taught through games, we are aloud some fun with the pendulum but then we are steared into more important matters.

When I began doing the pendulum I did some tests. One of them was to take a well shuffled deck of playing cards and picked a card from the top of the deck and asked if the card was black. The first 10 cards in a row were right on the spot, which statistically is very impressive. But when I continued to do the rest of the deck I ended up with a statistically insignificant 27 cards right and 25 wrong. This hinted to me that my guide would indulge me and my test for a very short time. Second time I did it, same pattern emerged. That kind of confirmed that conclusion for me.

Now I still do some personal questions but also some "big picture" questions. Then I take that info and seek ADDITIONAL confirmation through other more conventional means. I let the pendulum guide me not rule me. It is just one more way to gather information and it should not be relied upon exclusively. That is, test the pendulum indirectly by confirming what it gives you.

Hi all, Travellin Bob has got a good inderstanding there, and his advice is very valid. The pendulum is only a tool, like Tarot, Runes, etc, and are only meant to help us develope our abilities.  You will find eventually that using a pendulum will no longer be necessary if you take the steps to directly communicate with the Guides.

Our Guides don't really talk down to us, they manifest in ways that we subconsciously choose. Although that is not always the case, they also choose how they manifest for us, and usually in such a way to make us think and ask more questions. They help us in ways that most people don't yet understand, very subtle ways. If you open your chakras with your focus, then you can open the causal chakra, clear it, and you will hear the messages more clearly.

Tayesin - all this chackra useage is a bit unclear to me
I tried to read NEW by RB but i got bored (it`s holidays and i`m kind of lazy) - so is there another way , or i should read NEW ? Or maybe you have any other good books/articles ?

so I've heard that one should not directly and foolishly test the pendulum but test "with" the pendulum. Some reason that doesn't make anysense to me. Could someone briefly explain this and suggest some tests i could run through my pendulum? Also are tests OK with the guide that you are speaking with for he/she may feel angered you dont trust him/her?
