predicting earthquakes

just a couple of days ago, i was composing a private message and added to it that my ears were ringing...

being new to japan, i am not sure of my directions, etc but said the quake would be a small one closer to me in the north...as apposed to a much bigger earthquake farther away from me to the north...

don't want to sound like a geographic moron, but there was a quake 3.4 is in greece, then a 6.something in japan...

so i'm guessing the one i heard was the one in japan, as that would be north...

anyway, for those of you wondering if something really bad is going to happen in august, if it's an earthquake, i'll let you know and you'll have about 3 days to clear out. A.
