Any kind of fear is effectively neutralized by related knowledge. Read the books on the subject of AP (R. Monroe, R. Bruce), browse around the forum, etc.

If you need more guidance, try Hemi-Sync Gateway series - it takes you through the process with baby-steps, although since you are "natural", I doubt you'll need that.

To answer your last question - there isn't a single shred of evidence that AP is dangerous and/or harmful. (other than you might end up in a nut-house if you go around talking to people about your experiences).

With envy to all natural OBE bastards [;)],

P.S. Forgot to add: using "4" instead of "for", "2" instead of "to", and other similar shorthand is bad for your karma - you can end up in hell for doing that.

It is natural to be afraid at first. Just remember that you cannot be hurt. You can read all you want but the truth is at sometime you are going to see something that is totally unexpected. It is important to remain calm and passive, no matter what happens.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Wow, welcome to the forum :)

I too used to travel outside my body every night when I was a young child, and I could always tell it wasn't a dream because I would float down the same staircase and I would always see the mattress pad that my mom left out leaning against the wall.

A lot of the OOBEs happened because of the entities I call the "stinger-nose monster".  I have a feeling, despite most of them being a pretty scary race, one of them was my friend and helped to pull me out of my body just before I lost consciousness in my sleep.

Right now I am experimenting with "listening" to the noise I sound when I breathe so I can take the conciousness further and further into my sleep until I can no longer feel my body, at which point the vibrations come instantly.

hi, i tried to post yesterday but i dont think it worked....any how i am new here and new to all of this.  To make this a shorter post then my last...i believe i have been leaving my body since i was a young child, in my sleep.  I still have memories of floating down my stairs or drifting off somewhere.  Any how 2 days ago i woke up from a nap and said 4 no reason...  astral projection looked it up on the net and found this sight somehow.  any way so the next night i thought i would try it, i just closed my eyses and focused on leaving, in no time at all i felt like shots of electricity shoot through me, it was a feeling i have never before experenced and in the next moment i could feel myself begin to float slowly...but then i became very scared and opened my eyes.  I wasnt sure if i wanted to try agtain or not, and have decided i would like to, my problem is, now it takes me longer to relax and the moment i feel like i could choose to leave something holds me back....fear.  I do fear the unknown and the only comfort i have is i bleieve i have done this before in my sleep, but when i try my mind tells me something could happen, or i might see something i do not wish to.  Any advice 4 me?  can someone tell me once i let go that i am still in control and that i am still safe?
