hey do you wake up to like you are falling. some times i wake up to what feels like im falling off my bed but im reely in the middle (realy weard). every night you have a obe but you just do remmember it. if you feal like you are falling of your bed but just laying in the middle of your bed it is just your astral self going back into your physical self just with a bumpy landing you could say. i woke up one night thinking i would be half way off my bed but just to be in the middle of my bed short of breath for some resen and i was like paniking.[:P]
good luck to you

holy reality

it's called a myoclonic jerk and is related to hypnagogic hallucinations while falling asleep...

it's perfectly normal, why it happens is anyone's guess though..

it could be your astral body separating, you could be falling asleep so fast that your body thinks you are dying, so it sends a huge jolt through you...

it usually happens when you are imagining that you are like walking down the street or something and then you trip, and it feels just like you tripped, and you know the tripping in the dream happens right when your body is shutting itself down, so it jerks you awake.

but it's normal.... and I hate it, it keeps me from OBEing.

when I had my AP yesterday ..
i had no numb arms or legs and i did not feel nothing
special .. all that was different, was this intense
rather warm flow from the chest into the middle of my
head, and this movie that I saw with closed eyes

some days, when i am trying to sleep at night, one strange thing happen to me frequently, and from what i remember, it's since several years. Sometimes (not everydays) i suddently feel like i am falling but even without wanting i involuntarly get starlet/scared and i "jump" on bed. It's like a full body "twitch", it's strong because my bed makes a noise just like if my whole body jumped where my body is lying on it. This is weird, since i am unable to do such kind of "jump" on purpose. Also sometimes i feel like a limb of mine fall trought the bed but instantly goes back to place. Even if i NEVER had any psychic experiences in my whole life, this happens to me a LONG time ago, since many years, and now that i started to read a lot about psychic abilities and started to practise them, i started to wonder if this as something to do with out-of-body experiences. But it doesn't make much sense, i NEVER felt vibrations and i NEVER had sleep paralysis, and i never even tryied psychic abilities before, and i never have done oobe. I haven't even done trancing at least that kind in that the whole body gets fully relaxed to the point we don't feel it (altough not long ago while trying self-hypnosis i felt for the first time vibrations but just in a part of my leg).

I already tried to not get scared and mentalize that it could be my astral body trying to get out, but i got not results, this is so fast that i only realize this after i "jump" on bed, and because i am overweight (and i never lye on my back because of my weight) the bed shakes quite a bit, so it's not my "imagination". Altough i tryed to remember how i felt before that happens, and it's all perfectly normal, i could feel my body well, and i was thinking on nothing about psychic habilities or about oobe, and that happens totally unexpected, but never with vibrations. Also when trying deliberaty to get out of body, this NEVER happened, the maximum i could reach is not feeling my body, mainly on legs and arms.

So, i have some questions about this, also about oobe practising :
1. Can this possibly be my astral body "loosening up" ? While awake i always feeled perfectly aware of my body and never felt dissasociated with it (kind of, i seem to have a good working root chakra). Also, since 3 or 4 months ago i practise psychic abilities (altough i still got almost no results) and also trancing, this continues to happen exactly in the samy way and frequency than before.
2. For overweight people, which have large bellys, and which can't lye on their back (because of the weight of gravity on the belly) can oobe be done lying on my side ? Wouldn't that induce a lucid dream instead as i readed somewhere ?
3. When i felt vibrations for the first time (when i tryed self-hypnosis) i was a bit afraid that would do any kind of damage, please tell me, feeling vibrations is totaly safe ? Those that teach how to oobe teach to ignore the vibrations, but i just want to know, if i feel pain because of vibrations is that normal or i should stop immediatly ?
4. Is it absolutly necessary to "not feel" the WHOLE body (or feel it numb) to be able to oobe ? There is any kind of energy action (like those on NEW) that could improve relaxing and not feeling the body faster? It's because i have troubles relaxing certain parts of my body, specially the belly.

sorry for a lengthy post

sorry about the intial post, I am new to this forum so please forgive me for just reposting the initial message.  About the position you are in, from my own experiences I think that if you focus on any little detail too much you can stray from what you should really be focused on which is the OBE.  I cannot feel as if my whole body is energized but I can feel my feet very energized most times and I will usually have an OBE though I do not believe it is mostly based on this.  I think that if you convince yourself mentally that You Know what to do and believe in yourself you will have an OBE regardless of energetically preparing your body.  I wouldn't worry so much about position just convince yourself and will yourself out and it will happen.
