Relate it to something he might understand. Like a remote control car.

If he watches Dragon Ball Z, you could try to relate in terms of Gotenks' Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack. "It's like Gotenks' Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, only instead of each one having its own personality, you still control it, it doesn't blow up, and no one else can see it."
I need a signature that isn't stupid. :/

Welcome to the forums Julia [:D]  Let me say I know exactly how you are feeling!  It is a tough thing to explain, my 10yr daughter has been having spontaneous projections for a few years now and my soon to be 4yr old is showing alot of signs that range from seeing ppl to reading my mind!

I haven't really tried to explain too much to her until this last year, and I just was up front and honest, plus I didn't clump it all up in to one conversation. [;)] that is way too much info for a kid to take in.  The fact that she is experiencing it makes it much easier for her to understand.  Sounds like your son is the same way.

You know your son best, I bet you'll do fine. [:D]

Thank you both for your quick responses :-)

I liked the idea of relating it to something that he is interested in (just working out how his favourite Tony Hawkes playstation game can be mixed in with this!!), and a remote control car would be a good metaphor for explaining what is going on.

But I guess you are right Nay, over time I can explain things and answer his questions as honestly as I can. I did mention "astral projection" to him and he is fascinated to find out more. A few people have mentioned to me they think he is very intuitive, he has always been such a sensitive soul along with the other very annoying traits of a normal 9 year old boy hehe;-)

Will let you know how it goes. Look forward to talking with you all more. I have been working on AP for quite some time and have not yet mastered it - have got to the vibration stage but still yet to get any further, thank you so much for the nice welcome.

Sentential

The best advice is to not dull his senses, but make him feel that it is special, or rather it is normal.

I can remember when I was a child dealing with psionic ability. More than anything else, I craved that I could talk to someone about them, without fear of retrubution or that they would lock me up in a loonie bin.

Just tell him the truth, thats the best thing around

Mandalay, thank you for posting. This might answer some of your questions as well: in our day and age the energy vibrations of our planet are increasing very quickly. A LOT more people know about their spiritual identity than 10, 20, 50 years ago. This thought-based energy is often expressed in increased clairvoyant abilities, such as your son. The internet has also had a profound and world altering affect because it has linked the minds, thoughts and thus the energy of every human on the planet who partakes of it, and the energy even spills over to those who have never touched a computer. It is very exciting, and the start of a new era for humanity if we can keep up the trend.
If but we knew the power of our thoughts we would guard them more closely.

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum I debate over where this should go as it covers a couple of areas!

My son is nine years old and has just recently begun talking about something that happened to him when he was about 3 or 4. He has an amazing memory and can go back even further than this too (he always fascinates me and can remember things from when he was months old!!).

Anyway, this one memory he recalled which I had forgotton was a time when I had a friend called Stefanie staying over night, she arrived very late and left VERY early in the morning and he never saw her as he was asleep in his bed the whole time. She slept downstairs and never went upstairs near his room.

I got up with Stef the next morning and made sure she got up and out of the house ok. About two hours later my son wakes up and tumbles down the stairs. The first thing he asked was "where is Stef?", I asked him why he asked and he said something along on the lines of she was here sitting on the sofa drinking coffee and looking in a mirror putting stuff on her face (her make up). I remember being absolutely astounded because he also pointed to the exact spot where she had been sitting just two hours before when he was tucked up in bed. She HAD been drinking coffee and using a compact mirror to put her make up on!

I told him that Stef had gone home now and had to be somewhere first thing and that yes she was in the house before. I asked him how he knew she was here and he said..I dunno, I saw her sitting there. I remember (now) asking him if he had come downstairs..nope he replied I have been in bed. I shrugged it off thinking that perhaps he was "just dreaming".

Now a few years on and with him reminding me of this, he is actually questioning me about what happened and he himself is saying "wasn't it weird mummy that I knew that Stef was there even though I had been asleep". He wanted to know how he could have known this so I tried to explain that sometimes when we sleep we can astral project, but it was a bit lost on him being a young-ish 9 year old!

When he was younger I also got the impression that he "saw" things in his room, his nightmares were always of people trying to talk to him and when I would go in his room he would be looking around at something else as if there was something else in the room. He also remembers this, but can't recall what it was, just remembers "talking to people".

He says it doesn't happen now, and I do wish that I had worked with him in some way.. My husband at the time was really freaked out by this and even though he knew my interest in the subject he wouldn't let me "fill his head" with rubbish.

But he is now asking about these things, and I would like to help him. His memory is so good that perhaps I can bring it back and help him discover any gifts that he has been given.

If anyone could help me out I would very much appreciate. How exactly do you explain to a 9 year old what astral projection is. I have always told him that we have a soul and that when we die, the soul leaves the body, so he is not completely clueless to my way of thinking;-) Also, do you think that what he remembers is in fact astral projection?

Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings ;-)
