That's funny, have you seen "Waking Life?"  A character is having an extended lucid dream and flipping through the channels on TV, and he sees a documentary about someone talking about things like NDEs and lucid dreams

i had the wierdest thing happen too me. i fell asleep after trying to have an obe but failed and then i was dreaming that i was watching a TV show about astral projection lol. i wasnt lucid and i cant believe i diddnt do a reality check but i thought that was wierd. anyway just after that i woke up REALLY REALLY slowly, i remember my mind awoke much before my body and my conscussness was still in my astral body! i tried to leave and float around and stuff but well, i had to use the bathroom [] i just thought it was cool, has anyone else experianced something similar?
