Reiki - good for energy blockages?

  Have you tried methods of grounding and centering your self? Try to envission your self grounded through the root chakra connecting you deep into the earth and draw energy up and in rather than down an out through the base...Go back to the crown chakra and request energy while envissioning the representation of the blockage surounded , enveloped in light and expelled....  afterward envission a protective dome of white light encasing you. This works well for me...visualization is a very strong force.

What is your plan to get trained in reiki? You do mean usui reiki, right?

The microcosmic orbit meditation from taoist yoga works well with reiki and can usually be done much more easily after learning reiki. Chi kung and tai chi in general help with increasing the effectiveness of your reiki by helping to clear the channels through which reiki works. NEW and reiki are also very effective together.

What I mean is get some reiki healing done on me.

I've tried the grounding but it hasnt made any difference.

Someone was suggesting negs (again!) but to be honest, I don't buy into all that neg crap!

Reiki is a healing system, which was originally found by Mikao Usui, a Japanese man. You don't learn reiki, it is passed to a student in an attument where you are permanently linked to this infinite source of energy.

There is usually clearing period after the attunement, but you can treat self and others right away after the attunement. What energy reiki fundamentally is, I think nobody really knows. Some say it is the same as Chi of Ki, others say that it is higher in vibration. I've heard that when already gifted hands on healers have taken reiki attunement, they have stated that the energy is different. But that is of course subjective.

WARNING: I've heard from some people that after they have taken Reiki attunement, OOBE has become harder to do. Reason for this is unknown and I don't know if this is true for everyone.

If someone takes the online attunement, than I would really like to hear your experiences.

A while ago when I first started trying to project I used to be successful around twice a week.  Since then i've recieved a number of reiki attunements and since then i've also been less successful with my projection attempts.  I don't know if reiki is the cause or not.  The closer I get to projection, the more pains I get in my heart chakra (not the usual fast beat feeling).

It would be interesting to see if anyone else has found it more difficult to project after recieving reiki attunements.

i can't think of any reasons why reiki would hinder your oobe's.  i can however, think of numerous reasons why it would help your attempts.  if you could be more specific as to why it would hinder, i would be more than happy to argue.

I have come to the conclusion that I have a (fairly) significant blockage in my energy system that is causing a form of chronic fatigue.
(see: OBE fears affecting my health).
I've had this since my first obe attempt when I was 13.
I recent months however I have had a couple of concious projections without fear and I am training myself to increase my awareness during OBE (YEEAH!!).
The fatigue symptoms have NOT gone though as I thought they would.
So I still have a hard time getting enough energy to function in the physical, and getting enough to increase awareness during obe can be hard.

I've had a full check up done and have no physical condition (I also had a psychiatric evaluation which didnt find anything significant, they refered me back to the doctors for more blood test again).

I'm now thinking, well I didnt have to go thrrough all those tests because I've always had a good idea that all the problems started due to that first aborted obe attempt and that my problems are energy related (due to a fear blockage)

Well, my fear of obe is largely gone now, as I have projected a few times, but the fatigue/blockage is still there.

My new idea is to get some healing done as someone suggested a good energy/aura worker might be able to clear the blockage.

What's iritating is that my fear of obe is gone now as I've projected but the block is obviously so strong and so ingrained (for about 14 years or so) that it will not shift!.

Reiki has been suggested to me as a good form of energy healing and is good for flushing out the energy system.

Any thoughts folks?
