advice on channeling

When I was 14, I attended a Oujia board session of a small group (all of whom i trust) and was told by their contact spirit that if I meditated enough, I would be able to channel his spirit.
This spirit (called No Name due to the fact he wanted no associations with names) told me things about myself that noone in the group woould have known. He spoke thru the board in French, and I was the only person who knew french in the room. No Name told us that we were associates in a past life, doctors during the Greek era, who had become close.
15 years later I find myself looking re-establish contact with No Name, but would never use the board by myself, as most of my spirit work is done alone.

That doesn't tell you if the spirit is 'good' or 'bad', a force for 'light' or 'dark', or even cares about your interests.

You have the ability to connect with your higher-self, which does have your best interests at heart.  You also have guides and helpers looking out for you.  A ouji board in the way you used it is never guaranteed safe.  Never associate being accurate with being 'safe'.

You can effectively reach your higher self through meditation and enlightenment.  How you go about this can be as varied as grains of sand on the beech, but the common theme is a journey inward.

I have hard time with these things, but I am fairly comfortable with the way this group used Ouija, and their assertion that they had contacted the spirit for years and were sure of his good nature and positive advice. They were not simply kids goofing off, using ouija as a party game. As a matter of fact, they were very precise in the conditions and state of the group before they began.

I entirely agree with Rastus on this one.  I would even go as far as to say that Ouija boards are quite dangerous as they attract more dark spirits than light spirits.  Light spirits will often times not want to interfere with you for your mere enjoyment (ie: a game).  The other thing is that light spirits are also often beyond the first level (which is not as close to the physical and thus tough to interact directly with the physical without breaking some laws).

In short, dark spirits are WAY more attracted to such boards than any other and they will deceive you in the most unsuspecting ways as they can read you like a book.  Not having a name is also something which makes me believe that it's more dark than light (I could be wrong).  But a name gives you power over that spirit and if it doesn't want to give you its name, it's because it doesn't want you to exert that power over it.  I would suggest to let it go.  If it truly wants to reach you and it's intentions are pure, it will do so by other means.

If this is true, then perhaps it would be best to try to contact the group again. If you feel, deep down, that they knew what they were doing, I would go for it.

But that does not mean don't be carefull.

If you cannot contact the group, try embracing the atmosphere you felt when you "met" the spirit.
