Apart from headaches...

 I have had similar sensations for many years now.  I first noticed them when I was about 14... that would be 8 years ago.  It starts with a cool rush down the top of my head.  It usually starts on one side then spreads away and down, if I concentrate on it, spreading goosebumps all over me.  I used to get them whenever I would hear certain music.  Now I can make it happen at will.  I have been playing with this for about 2 months and have found that if I repeat "FATHER" loudly in my head and sponge awareness down, sort of opening the gate, that it greatly magnifies this effect.  I haven't tried to store any of this energy because I'm not sure of its nature.  It seems harmless.  I was kind of hoping that some other people have had this experience and could tell us what it is.

  Now about the nightmares...  I have had some doozies in the past 6 months.  I think it's caused by having stored energy and the effect it has on making dreams more vivid.  It's really strange to read about other dimensions and astral spirits and astral parasites, I know that it is enough to give my very imaginative sub-concious ample material for vivid nightmares.  Kind of like when kids watch horror movies they have nightmares.  I still have nightmares about zombies .  When you learn about the possiblity of astral beings that we aren't even aware of, it has the tendency to make your self-preservation instincts kick in and start you running through scenarios in your mind (at least my mind ) trying to prepare you.  Anyway, I haven't had many dreams lately that I can remember.  I haven't been raising as much energy at night lately and that seems to have stopped my nightmares.  

Of course thats just my point of view, I could be wrong.

If I try to make a lifting sensation in the back of my head, I get something that sounds similar. For me it's more a strong shock than a continuous rushing. It's kind of like a strobe (read Astral Dynamics if you don't know what I'm talking about) but in my neck and the back of my head. Also, if I focus on the top of my head I get that sensation that RB talks about where it feels like a bunch of fingers are rubbing my scalp. Maybe you just have a naturally strong crown center, it probably means good things if you plan on high level projection. Ben

I have also started experiencing something similar.  But for my it is not just my head.  It is almost like getting the shivers but the vibrations are faster and mixed with a sorta dizzy feeling.  I sway a little.  The vibrations usually start at my feet and shoot up my legs covering my whole body.  It's like sitting in a vibrating chair for a second.

I am relieved that it's not just me with odd sensations in the head.  It does freeze you momentarily when it happens, I used to think of it as a sort of short ciruit happening.  The fact that it occurs in the brain makes you very wary of it.

I've always associated that sensation you describe with someone trying to scan me.  I've been proven right often enough on it....
In particular a marauding telepath can feel like someone poking around in your head with their fingers.

Does anybody experience strange energy sensations in the head, apart from headaches that is?  Last night I was raising energy before sleep, as usual I cant trace a path the energy takes, but I suddenly get a rushing feeling in the top of my head which makes me want to duck my head in reflex.  Thinking about it today, I realise I have had this sensation or variations of this sensation before, last week and even long before starting energy raising. I dont know if this is connected to the energy raising but I woke this morning with a nightmare, went back to sleep and awoke again with another nightmare.  Infact it has taken me most of the day being busy to try to shake off that awful feeling, that it was infact only a dream.  Perhaps the energy is shifting blockages, bringing out rubbish I need to deal with?  

But what about having the sensation long before doing NEW, is this a medical symptom of something? Should I check it out with my GP do you think?
